I got exhausted before lunch was served! You're amazing! And I think it's precisely this internalization of that herculean experience that has you flustered today.
But it'll be a blast! Have fun!

Sounds delicious and I agree, the recipe was probably flawed with Martha being in jail. As it is she's got extra time left to wear that ankle bracelet which seems silly to me..(Sex offenders roam free while Martha is closely watched).
The dinner will be a hit, I'm sure. I myself-like to cook but am ALWAYS stressed when I have people over for dinner..thus I don't do it often enough. But am doing it the end of this month for my son's family bday party..add to my stress some family members who don't speak that will attend..and I will need a glass of wine before they all arrive!!

Easy peasy...huh? lol! I was just joking with a friend of mine that since my partner has left, my kitchen has been crying. I can't cook anything that doesn't come out of a box or can!
Your dinner sounds like it will be wonderfabulous! Tell M & M hello from all of us.
Martha would be proud of you...

It's been entirely too hot for me to contemplate turning on my oven to bake cookies, so thank you for letting me know that the "sandwiches" are actually as dubious as they looked in the pictures.
Dinner will be splendid and you will all enjoy the benefits of a convivial evening spent among loved ones.
Now if I could just learn to cook

i am sure the butler will host a splendid affair...and i know the 2 m's will adore the cookies...and if i had to serve all those people for lunch and then dinner i would need a 2 week vacation after just one day - minimum 2 weeks...you are quite the human...ciao stb!!

Nooooo pressure....
Sounds like you really can cook, but the recipe didn't work. My brother and I have noticed a decline in Martha's recipes that were published during her incarceration. We're hoping the quality returns soon.
And broccolini! YUMMY!
I have about that many people over to my house for NASCAR Nextel Cup races sometimes, but as you can imagine, it's a very informal affair and I get to make people help.
Good luck; can't wait to read about your account of this dinner!

Wow... you must have some patience! I get lazy just trying to make a meal for myself! I can't imagine 26 people! Yipe!
Well... kudos to you for even attempting ice cream sandwiches! Sounds delicious!
Hugs,
Freddy
