Gravatar I am with you in the spam war..

I deleted five from one of my posts the other day..
spam is evil.. spammers misguieded and surely desperate?

as for your previous post... I try so hard to avoid tv news of all kinds.. often, I just cannot..

When my son was in Kuwait, I went on a news moratorium to save my sanity.. now I try to avoid it to save the shreds of sprit I have remaining..

I see you visiting Inger..

take care

Gravatar I deleted some from mine too. But then clicked that thing under settings/comments so that people have to type in the letters they see. Supposedly that will help?

Gravatar Turducken....I'm surprised you never heard of it. It's a deboned chicken, inside a deboned duck, inside a deboned turkey. It caused quite the sensation when my brother made it for Thankgiving last year. His wife says his "first" one looked perfect because he made a practice one at home a couple weeks before. (No wonder she looked bored with it! You can see where someone would want to make a practice turducken if you look at, to give an example, Chef Paul Prudhomme's recipe.

I, on the other hand, am quite confident on side dishes and desserts, and will cheerfully let my brother take poultry duty and make it way too complicated.

As for the spammers, I always wonder, how the hell does that *work*? I mean, does *anyone* want to actually follow the link and give the annoying bastards anything? (And if they do, can we kill or sterilize those people to chlorinate the gene pool?) I got that, too, and it's beyond frustrating.

I purely hate them. It's because of them that that "flag" feature was introduced. I now have to worry about one of the sanctimonious creeps from Stephen Bennett's blog deciding that my rock-star-as-classically-posed-nude logo and indications that my wife and I enjoy each other's bodies are obscene and "flagging" me.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR......

Gravatar And then they add insult to injury--pretending to be interested in what we say, complimenting us, acting like they like us. I was trying to explain that to my daughter the other day, and she said, "But how do you know when they mean what they say?" Indeed.

Fucks up the purity. I hate it.

How's the toe, fellah?

Gravatar *Nodding in agreement*

Gravatar spam of any kind that turns up anywhere is truly maddening...whoever thought of this latest scheme ought to be shipped over to iraq...ciao...

Gravatar For some unknown reason, Spam is very popular in Hawaii.

Honest.

Gravatar I always see your comments on Rambling Rose's blog so I figured I would stop by and check yours out.

If I were you, I would just delete it if anyone puts Spam in your comments. That power alone can be amusing and/or uplifting at times. Plus with Haloscan, you can see their IP address and ban a particular address so they can't post again.

Don't get upset about it. There is nothing we can do. It is the same with the emails. Just delete and move on. Life is too short.

Gravatar Spam sucks. Vent on STB, I feel your frustration and suffer with you!

Gravatar I'm still a spam virgin in blogland....

I hope I get to stay that way for awhile.

Gravatar Me too, yesterday I had all these spam comments on my blog. I'm going to use the letters thing mentioned above.

Gravatar Spam is food not advertising...oh, wait, it isn't technically food either. Hum....

Anything I can do to help, just let me know. Don't know much about halo scan (I'm using MT blacklist personally) but I'm sure they have some mechanism that will block the crud.

Hope you have a sunny weekend.
