I'm sensing that you're holding something back! Just let it AAALL out, baby and you'll feel better! Yes, the Shrub, as you so lovingly refer to him, IS a HUGE dissappointment (understatment of the year)!!!!
I still haven't figured out exactly what the Dept. of Homeland Security does.
I'm just totally shocked at the pictures of the devastation!

I read somewhere that his popularity has dropped to an all time low. About time.

What the F*** indeed!!! This disaster should be a big wake up call to them folks on the hill. If we can't keep it together during something like this - how do we look to terrorist who are just looking for another in. Seems like we have shown them that we are so easy for the picking - we couldn't even be on top of this. Your remarks are right on. Have a great day - enjoy that humidity again today!!! Peace!

There was a former mayor of New Orleans on CNN a little while ago.. he just kept pleading for federal aid.. for the military.. for some sort of help NOW..
You are correct on all counts..

Homeland security would not have been able to help in La any more than they would in NY. Communication is a vital part of our everyday lives, and anything that knocks it out be it terror or weather is terrible. Seems what we need is a whole lot more electricians.
At least our fair city is going to take in the refugees in the Astrodome. You can't help everyone STB, but you can help one.

As a friend of mine said last year, good work from the government tends to happen *in spite of* GWB.
Why, oh why, did people have to pick up on what he is in his *second* term?!
Glad to see you back, anyhow.

THANK YOU!
It takes yet another tragedy to remind us how unprepared and incompetent we actually are. I wonder if the "journalists" will cover it?

What I really enjoyed was the press conference I watched while I was waiting in line at the local deli to get my sandwich: the first thing they addressed? Not evacuation; not getting medical and life-sustaining supplies to survivors; not how you can help. No, the first thing they annouce is that under the Clean Air Act's emergency provisions they're going to relax the standards for fuel emissions so *everyone can have enough gas* It's unf*cking believable. And so magnaimous of Dubya to cut his vacation short by a whole day. I think I need to puke and wash my brain out now.
