oh butler you are right on target as usual...the voice of reason out of texas of all places...i heart you so much...who knew that simple phrases like keep it moist keep it moving or all shall be revealed would be life altering for me...
i really could give a hoot about the holidays...it's the other stuff going on in my life right now that is stressing me out...
but i will heed your wonderful advice as i always do, kind sir...you are truly divine in my book...
hugs

I really like the smile at yourself in the mirror for 1 minute each day. It is something I am going to be trying in the morning.
The holidays have taken on new meaning for me 4 years ago. They are wonderful and fun again having a 5 year old around. We do keep it simple at our house. One wrapped present from mom under the tree and one present from Santa this year. The kid has asked for a game or book from Mr Clause. How easy is that going to be.....
It is a joy having found you and your blog....

I couldn't agree with you more....
Taking a deep breath and keeping things simple.....peace and calm....bringing a smile to someone who needs it (not by buying them something).....and finding time for the people/moments/memories that make your heart soft and squishy ~ that is what I wish for all of us this season.

I must be an adult, because the fact that everybody else loves you like I do makes me happy, not jealous; you are one who ought to be loved.
Just couldn't agree more.

I'm no longer railroaded by my family to do anything at Christmas that I don't want to do. They basically see me ( pot meet kettle ) as sem-insane so I'm forgiven.

For the first time in my life, I'm having a hard time with the holidays. Thanks for this. Allowing myself to feel isn't an issue for me. As for the rest though, I think I'll come back to this posting as necessary over the next few weeks. Loving the holidays is so very natural for me that I really haven't known what to do with ... this stuff... this year. Again, thanks, Butler!
