i was amazed by your predictions...you did much better than i did...and while i am happy for phillip seymour hoffman, i really was hoping heath could pull it off...
it was a lot of fun watching, and i agree with you on the pace of this show -- much more refresfhing than the oscars...but still, can't wait for the big show =)
ciao...

I used to have a life, where I could and would go see all the movies and have such great predictions. Now, I can't even remember to watch the awards!
I haven't seen any of the movies nominated
*btw - The picture below is simply fabulous!

I was just thinking about posting about the trainwreck known as Isaac. I hate him now! and I used to like him! My god. His "shocking questions" about underwear were lame, but the thing that put me over the edge was his comment to Charlize Theron asking her what's up with her playing the ugly dyke roles. He used the word dyke. On television. And it seemed to be excused, along with his fondling behavior with the other women, "because he's gay."
I miss Kathy Griffin. She was awesome.

It’s of kind of like looking forward to a night of really good sex and then the sex turns out to be mediocre. You find yourself sitting around the next day smoking cigarettes and forlornly staring off into space while sighing heavily.
Yes, it’s the morning after an awards show.
Everyone plays it safe and gets it wrong. I too, miss Edy and Sally. Even Pia Zadora would have been a welcome relief. I miss old Hollywood. They should have given Catherine Deneuve a standing O just for showing up. They don’t get it, although Keira Knightly was resplendent in her Valentino. Drew Barrymore should know better, she’s been around long enough. At least the Oscars won’t have the desperate housewives because they are just that, desperate. Although it would be nice to see Felicity Huffman showing up to pick up her award.
I think Isaac is a little bit curious. He’s still the little Jewish boy. You’re right, it was funny for about a minute and then it just became tired.
Sheeza did a fine job. She got all of the big ones. You will have to consult her regarding an Oscar win for ‘Brokeback Mountain’. The academy is old school and tends to award films like ‘The Constant Gardener’, which was an excellent film and deserves to win as well.
Onward and upward to the Academy Awards! The nominations are announced in two weeks.
Will Costco have your salad?
Will the stylists get a clue?
What will you wear?
We’ve got work to do…

P.S. I love the red. It's working darling.

Oh honey--you rolled out the red carpet for US!?!?
I'm overcome. I'd like to thank the Academy, of course, and my beloved blogrades for their love and support.

I agree with you on crash. What an awesome movie, the whole twisted matt dillon cop was a trip. But the movie was way to controversial for mainstream america to grasp.

I was shocked when Isaac pulled the dress and peered at the boobies... Who cares if he's gay, I still wouldn't want him peeping on national tv... ugh
thanks for all your encouragement lately with the house and folks...

Love the red!!!! It is fabulous darling.....
I am not one for award shows but Kiran got hooked on all the pretty dresses.
Next Wedensday I am going to see Brokeback Mountain and really looking forward to it. See, as a single parent, one has to plan their life far in advance.

hello, isaac, that was your agent - she just said you'll never be asked to be anywhere near a red carpet ever again... i love that hilary swank kind of put him in his place, and that natalie portman dodged his invasive questions effectively. watching him was the equivalent of a twelve-car pile up. a heaping mess.
i'm a bit sad that heath lost and that marcia lost... but i thought the awards were full of life, unlike last year.
