Gravatar i missed what happened with the intro to brokeback. only saw bits and pieces b/c i was putting the kiddies to bed.

did see sean hayes acceptance speech, that was the highlight for me!

i am so with you on award shows. love them!!! esp the oscars.

Gravatar I think the torture is the best part of award shows. The agony and the ecstasy of it all.

Academy Award nominations tomorrow morning! 5:30AM for me. I must nap now!

So excited!

Are you?

Gravatar Darn, I missed it!

Gravatar I saw them, and yes, the boys were bad.

Oscar noms tomorrow!

Gravatar I am just the opposite....I hate award shows. But somehow, always know what's going on. I'm a fan of the Grammys, and will go to an Oscar party. I taped the 3 hour Golden Globes and watched it under an hour.

I guess I hate all the self-righteous grand-standing. These ppl are paid ridiculous amts of $$$, but yet, they need to also be told they are the prettiest girl in the class. Ugh.

When I saw the chix from Desperate Housewives, I thought to myself, "Where do these bitches get off? Acting like they're all that. Before that show, they were all has-beens. Radio shack commericals anyone?

But as I said, I still seem to know what's going on....I guess its a love/hate thing!

And my vote goes to Walk the Line!

Gravatar i love the way you list, mister!

you get me every time.

can't wait for your oscar's reviews.

Gravatar when matt dillon pulled her out of the burning car was one of the most dramatic cinematography that I have ever seen. Crash was fuckin awesome. And as for Donnie Darko, I didnt even like brokeback

Gravatar Liked "Crash" a lot; if you ever get a chance check out Matt Dillon in "Golden Gate", a stunning "little" movie most people never heard of.

I quit watching awards shows the year they introduced Hal Roach and had him stand up at the Oscars; he thought they wanted him to speak, and of course, there was no microphone.Everyone made fun of him; he died that next year, one of the last ties to a bygone era. I catch glimpses, Benigni standing on the backs of the chairs, etc., but usually end up disappointed so I gave up watching the whole thing.
