I used to get CNN International on the weekends, then they "revamped" their schedule and it was gone. I would pay money for that channel! I miss Richard Roth and "Diplomatic License" especially...
Just read the nominations list; glad to see "Crash" get some; glad to see "Good Night and Good Luck" get some as well; it doesn't stand a chance (too political) but at least it got nominated!
Hadn't thought about the possibility of your being in that jury pool; a bit "slow on the uptake" sometimes I guess! I can't imagine what the local news there must be like with all of the local interest in the story!

I have heard great things about Crash and can't wait to get a chance to see it. Being an award show addict I love watching all these shows my self.

Everyday feels more like the Twilight Zone. Stupid gives us his "hopeful" speech and it's an instant reply of every other speech he's given. Thank God (whichever one you believe in) for films like "Crash," "Brokeback Mountain" and "Good Night & Good Luck." Decades from now, history will show that we made some progress in understanding humanity, despite the regressive thinking of the extremists in office.

I really must see Crash. I had it here, actually, then Marc was visiting and borrowed it for the train ride back to Baltimore, and I don't want to spend the money again. But the Oscars are no fun if you haven't seen ANY of the contenders, as, sadly, is the case for me.

Oh I've been meaning to see Crash for awhile: hear it's very powerful.
Christiane Amanpour is HOT, and I love her reporting. And she can actually pronounce things correctly, unlike the president.
Why does he continue to speak? His fumbling, self congratulatory jokes and laughing, it just makes me cringe. I don't understand how others love him so.
As for the oil addiction, WTF. That's how he made his money. Pshw.
Isn't Jon Stewart hosting the oscars this year? I'm looking forward to that...

I was on jury duty once. It was a cocaine dealer.... we put him away for a very long time.
His mother was crying, "my baby, my baby". I wonder where she was when he was selling the garbage?
I would like to see Brokeback win, although I have not seen it. It would be a great "in your face" to the conservatives!
