I highly suggest renting a small, but quiet and private home!! It's worth the extra $ for sure. Meanwhile, slip them some democratic brochures of some sort.

I feel your pain. I absolutely hated living in an apartment. In my last one, the couple above me had a routine; on the third Thursday of every month they would have sex at two in the morning, very loud sex. When they were done, friends would arrive and party.

Wow...that sucks ass. Who in their right mind thinks 3 AM is appropriate...EVER? Is it me, or have common curtosities of our society gone to an all-time low? WTF?

When my wife and I were living in apartments we tried to always live in the top floor one just for that reason; the climb was worth the quiet!
I spent 2 hours waiting for Blogger to decide I could upload my photo for this morning; it finally loaded between 4 and 5 I just never changed the time on the original post...
So sorry for what it looks like you may be heading into with your new neighbors!

Yes, the entire world is a trailer park and what’s worse is trailer trash that can afford to upgrade to an apartment.
That is bloody insane! Who in their right mind moves in at three fucking o clock in the morning?
I hope you are able to contact the manager and I would go beyond that and contact the owner of the property. One phone call to the county clerks office will provide you with that information. Surely the complex has some rules about that sort of thing.
Perhaps, at the very least, you could get them to move you to another unit and pay for the move!
Another thought, look around for an upscale fifty-five and older senior complex. Honestly. No kids, no twenty-year-old Jesus-loving morons. Just a bunch of nice older folks who are very quiet and make lovely neighbors. It’s worth considering if you want to stay in the same area while maintaining your sanity.
Better yet, get the hell out of that Red State and move in with Blogzie so I can play with you all day, everyday.

i'm having trouble with pictures too. (so glad it isn't just me.)
and ahh, yes, apartment living. can't stand it. at least the people who live above me are very apologetic about the noise they make. (they don't have carpets.)
and if only loving jesus meant that people would also love having sense! (hmm, that would solve a lot of problems in this world.)
I'm sure Jesus would have been a quiet upstairs neighbor. In fact, I'm positive of it. There's got to be something in Leviticus about THAT. Sheesh.

Well. I lived over a woman one time in an apartment in Santa Rosa, and I had 2 cats. And If I wasn't at home, dem cats dey would run back and forth across the floor, sounding like a herd of elephants. She was tryin to sleep, and I'm sure dem cats made damn sure she dint. Hell. One day I got the awfulest letter from her taped to my door. Cussin, fussin, threatenin...I dint know what to do. It was Christmas and I was away from my family and all alone. I took $20 and put in an envelope, with a note tellin her to go have lunch on me and plus how sorry I was, and it was Christmas and dem cats was all I had. She left me da most beautiful gift and card at da door and said "Don't worry bout da cats. They's ok!"

How rude!!! Regardless of whether they are day or night people (although from the sound of it they are night people which means it is probably only going to get worse), they should show some sort of respect for their sleeping neighbors...Some people just have no common sense at all!!! I hope it gets better for ya!!! Sending good thoughts your way - bad thoughts their way...
