My mom wasn't always very loveable,
but I too honor all she taught me.
Letting go of the bad crap and realizing they were flawed humans just like us enables us to love them anyway and move past it.
Yeah mine was a drunk, a bully and could be abusive, but she also showed such strength as a single mom.
I admire that in her. It's all that matters now.
