We are all happy in and awe at the results of the election. Then only thing that didn't happen was that our old republican governor won re-election. His major opponent called a reporter a whore last weekend. Anyway, he might be running with your governor for the short list of vice-prez candidates.

I'm feeling cynical; I'm sorry. Yes, the sanctimonious twits are (mostly) out. Yes, there is the smell of potential change in the air. Yet, because I'm not heterosexual I'm still being asked to sit at the back of the buss (some due to the fault of my own community's lobby groups...but I digress). The best I can be about all this political change is cautiously optimistic (vs. some of my friends who are still drunk with joy). Time will tell. It always does.

I also was gearing up for the "oh, we lost again", vote, but was SO EXCITED when we won! Those were a good first few days. Now, let's hope we can get some things accomplished and move in a new positive direction for Americans. Hopefully soon the rest of the world will begin to like us again.
