Dear, dear Butler... you are not alone.
I've lost/found/lost/found/found/found
When you find the solution, please let me know.

I find it hard to gain and lose easily. An equally depressing difficult problem believe it or not.

The yo-yo continues in my life as well; I fought my way from 288 and 52 inches down to 188 and 34. I worked out and though I put on 30 after that my waist was down to 33.
Then they started working us 10's and Saturdays and I just could keep going to the gym.
So 18 months later, I'm back to 283, and 52 inches again.
I bought a treadmill last month, and as soon as I can rearrange the basement and drop some wiring for it, I'll be starting to walk some of it off again. That's part of my retiring as well, though I'll be working saner hours somewhere else at least I'll not only have time for that but see more of the person who's stuck by me for 33 years now!
Someone I admire greatly used to say "Keep it moist and keep it moving". At this girth, just moving brings moisture!
But it's the "keep moving" that's the important part I think!

I remember standing in front of the pantry and saying out loud "Eating that isn't going to make it better." That was the turning point for me ~ when I realized what the eating was *really* about. Now, whenever I find myself eating when I'm full or bored, I know to look for the *real* reason I'm eating. It rarely feels good to admit whatever is actually going on but it keeps me off the weight roller coaster.
