Movement for an NYC concealed carry law, anyone?
It'd make me feel safer...
As a cop in the fifth largest city in the nation, I can tell you WE are thoroughly unprepared to handle an attack. Trust me.
Of course, I think that if Cindy Sheehan's buddies want to attack, no one is really going to be able to stop them. And that is frightening. But by all means, make sure the FAA keeps strip-searching 5 year olds and grandmothers.
I truly hope that at some point our government officials get serious about cracking down on terrorists in this country. We need to seal off our borders, quit with the PC screening of passengers on airplanes and mass transit and in general kick our enemies' butts!
I believe that the fact that there has not been a successful terrorist attack (per se) on American soil since 9/11 is not necessarily due to our governments less than stellar efforts to combat terrorism, but in spite of them.
I think that we had better wake up really quick lest we find ourselves in a situation like Israel is in. I for one would prefer not to have to worry that my childrens' schools could be targeted as in Beslan. I would prefer not to have to worry if my next ride on mass transit will be my last or that some maniac is going to blow himsef up at the pizza place where my son and friends go after a football game.
Oh how I hope that our leaders wake up...

No no, I saw photos of some of the guys who may be trying to bomb the subways and they do in fact look like little old ladies and five year old blond kids.

Concealed carry in NYC is sounding real good about now...but with the drones around here, all they'll do is blame the current occupant of thw White House.
