If this case does nothing else, it should make people aware that future planning is necessary to avoid this type of mess. It should make people realize the importance of a "living will," physician's directive, or other order properly written which addresses their specific wishes should this sort of tragedy occur.

thanks for recognizing that I'm not trying to pick a fight, just discussing. This situation brings out so many things that bear thought and discussion but the thing is that there is no absolute right or wrong.
