What is a fart sack? A fart sack is the term that our WWII soldiers used for their sleeping bags. These guys had it tough . They had no barracks to come home to after a mission. They had the hard earth and the sky above. sometimes you could not even take a good crap and we all know what happens when you can't take a good poop. You get gas. Thay probably ate alot of beans also. I don't know? But, any way they would call their sleeping bags "fart sacks."
