Wow. **hugs**... sorta like my nephew. He was back from Afganistan for less than 8 months( and he was told it would be a year or more back with his wife and child) and he was sent to Iraq.

Ohh, that is sucky, the no warning thing I mean. It's horrid when you expect one thing and get another. You'll make it just fine and if ya need a bit of advice we're here for ya.

Wow... I'm *almost* just as surprised as you. Luckily you do have 2 months to prepare both mentally and emotionally for it (and up your dose of Paxil?) LOL.
Maybe Clint will be able to hang out with my brother! LOL.

Wow, I soooo didn't expect that. We had less notice than that for my brother's deployment, so I completely understand the shock. Will he be in Baghdad? Green zone, maybe?

This is my first visit to your blog - definitely not my last. Your blog gives off good vibes; I know you're tough enough to get through this, but I am hoping and praying that suddenly he and no one else will have to go.
Take care,
Frances

YEah. Well, what can I say Katy. When people offer to help, take them at their word and call em on it. Ummm. Think about the extra money Clint will earn that you can use to pay off debt. Just trying to find something positive for you here. Good luck to you gel. Course, there's lots of us around to give you support. Same goes for Clint.

That totally stinks. But non-deployable? Yah, they told my nephew when he signed up for the National Guard he would never be deployed either. They told him National Guard would stay in the USA to serve. Yah right.

Wow Katy, I don't tune in for a while and huge things happen. I am so sorry for you. My husband was also in a non-deployable unit a couple years ago--that got stunning orders. someonw further up said "there is no such thing as non deployable," they were right!
I also understand where you are coming from on the lack of training. Up until my husband left, I never felt his unit had enough training. (And he is damn near retirement age now. ) You and your family and your husband are all in my thoughts and prayers girl!
