Quitting Paxil??????!?!?!?!?! GOOD LUCK! Hopefully you've got someone to take care of your kids for the next month or so. I quit Paxil, the first 3-4 days are extreme pain, nausea, and nerves SHOT, uncontrollable on and off sleep...and that's just the first few days. For the next month or so it's vertigo, panic attacks, loss of grip on reality, sinking feelings, violence, irritability--you will probably not safe to be around-- and general HELL. When I tried to quit it the first time, I had to be institutionalized temporarily, and I didn't recover or adjust to new medication and had to go back on it. I'm not kidding, not trying to scare you but maybe dissuade you..it seems like the side effects are bad until you remember what it was like without it!

I just found you blog in a search engine when I typed in "quit paxil". I'm a 17 year old girl whose been on paxil since I was in 5th grade, around 10 years old. I've tapered off from 30mg to 10mg and the terror continues to increase. Your humor is keeping me sane. Thank you.

I just thought sex wasn't that good. Thank God it's the just drugs.
