As for Thing 1, I'm glad you are getting some research and answers. . .we just have to follow our intuition, don't we?

That is absolutely awesome that you'll have the first ear checked out. I am crossing my fingers, eyes, toes in hoping it finally gets resolved!

I'm very proud of you that you were willing to go through a 2nd surgery. Good thing we all have two ears, and I'm glad that Thing 2 worked.

I'm also glad that you are a bit determined to see what really happened to the Thing 1.
