Troubling stuff.
I think Americans may want to begin entertaining the notion that this whole exercise is less about collegial harmony and the spirit of bipartisan comity leading to an appearance of appeasement, and more about the possibility that all that FISAless surveillance in the service of total information awareness has netted some pretty big blue fish (in addition to all the little red fish who willingly floated into the net) for whom the price of not ending up in the can is 'going with the flow'.
Just a thought.
