Steve, I love your blog - and your jokes! - but there's something sort of unfunny about men making fun of PMS. Not as in, it's an ubersensitive topic that ought to be off-limits for moral and societal reasons [see: rape jokes, burgeoning popularity of]. It just doesn't tend to come out funny, and takes a listener out of that moment of pure enjoyment.
For one thing, it kind of just reads as complaining about women for the sake of complaining about women. Also, men's descriptions of PMS tend to sound much more based on a lifetime of sitcom conditioning rather than actual experience, although I'd guess that almost all men have spent way more time with PMSing women than they've ever realized. Plus, it's something you've never been through first-hand, and comedy (especially intelligent comedy like, from what I've read, yours) is largely about insight. Is this line really a unique take on something that isn't actually much like conventional wisdom, or an easy trope pulled from marginalizing stereotypes?
I hope that all reads as constructive criticism. I'm really enjoying this series, and that line just struck me as kind of a sinker, both comedically and emotionally, while I was enjoying being impressed and amused. It's just a well that was run dry long ago.
For the record, if anything, I'm post-MS-ing, so please no "See what he/I meant?" Although to be fair, this phase can have its moments, too.

Interesting, because of all the stuff I've done, that is far and away the favorite bit of both my wife and mom. Maybe it reads differently.
