That is just unbelieveable. Until I saw that ring on his finger I thought for sure he wasn't involved. That changed my mind...but I didn't want to believe that he would do this AND let his 2 year old son witness what he did AND leave him alone in the house like that. He couldn't just take himself out if he was that desperate? I just can't believe the things people do.

All along things have not looked good for this "Bobby" boyfriend. After seeing his interview and noting his lack of concern for Jessie and his unborn child, even what his son has gone through, it is obvious he is only concerned about himself. Whining about how he has not eaten, slept etc. Seems to me one would be much more focused on his missing girlfriend and unborn baby. Just my opinion, but all along I beleived he was and is the only suspect in this case. How sad it is.

There's no reason that the DNA testing needs to take that long! An official DNA test only takes a couple of hours; the extra time is just the amount of time that the DNA samples sit in the freezers in the test lab. It's just so ridiculous!

I new article just appeared on CNN. It states that the have evidence that "there is someone out there" that knows what happened. They also now say that they do not know that Cutts is the father of the baby. It says in the article that it will take two weeks to get DNA information, but after looking on the internet. Genlex.com states that you can get it in one day to three days...
Just interesting information...

SuzieQ - I'm pretty sure they only read miranda rights when you're being formally arrested. I was a minor when I got my first hand knowledge...and minors don't get them. I asked why my rights weren't being read and the response was: "Minors don't have rights, Sherlock". How nice!

How come the DNA testing needs to take so long? There's no reason that it needs to take such a long time. I've done some research on the topic and I've read that DNA testing only takes a day or two. The other time is just the DNA samples sitting in a freezer at the test lab. It's just ridiculous!

I was wondering about him getting his rights read to him and being arrested as well. What exactly does that mean? Other than if he was read his rights so he is aware for anything he says at this point. They may know something from the cell phone records that pointed more to him and now they are just trying to find the evidence.

Thanks all for the link to the interview. It may quite likely be bias on my part, but I sensed forced sadness in his tone which does not really align with his concern for himself. I would expect an innocent man, especially a cop, to be very understanding of the focus on him. I'd imagine an innocent man saying 'by all means, focus on me, and once I'm cleared the investigation can move along to finding out who did this and what happened to Jessie'.
I'm also troubled by the 'possibly' when asked about baby Chloe. If innocent, would this really be the best time to bring up that he has his doubts as to the paternity of the child Jessie's carrying, on your first and only interview? It sounds to me like he's trying to open up some other possibilities that lead to other suspects.
I suppose time will tell, but this all definitely does not bode well for Jessie.

I really don't know about this baby being Jessie's baby - it would mean someone kept her alive for 4 days - does that seem logical? And if so, is she still alive somewhere or did they just let her die once she had the baby? If BC did this or had it done because he didn't want to pay child support for yet another child what would be the sense in letting the baby live and dumping her off somewhere in the height of this media storm? He'll still end up with a child out of this and then a murder and/or kidnapping charge. It doesn't make much sense to me that this would be Chloe. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

If a cell phone runs out of power or has been turned off then it can't be traced. Another drawback is being out of range, although if cell coverage is extensive in that area that wouldn't be a consideration.

Law Enforcement will read rights to an officer at the point where they have specific issues in order to clearly separate themselves from the officer - that is, to indicate and demonstrate to the officer and the court that statements made are not in any other 'spirit' than an interrogation pursuant to investigation and building a case.

Also, they will have DNA results tomorrow, if not already, but they will run a series of tests to ensure that contamination did not occur, that the results are accurate, etc. That is what they will refer to as 'conclusive', and what they will announce. It is quite likely that they already have DNA results (PCR or STR) for several samples (including the baby and perhaps other items from Cutt's house or other significant locations).

The way this looks to me, the Sheriff's dept. got with the family early and convinced them not to say anything beyond what was in the 911 call. They did this to aid the investigation, but also to make sure that leaks didn't sink the investigation in terms of making a case against an officer. Whether Cutts did it or not, they knew that a cop was in the prime position of interest for investigators, and that it would have to be a pretty tight ship to put the case together. I commend them for the serious and professional way they handled this part of the investigation. For a small department, it can be a real challenge dealing with the media in a high-profile case like this.

Bobby Cutts lives 30min away from Jessie. Jessie works 1hr away from her home. Bobby lives in the opposite direction from Jessie's work. YET Bobby says that Jessie was going to drop Blake off on Thursday morning, making it a 2hr drive to work for her. For what? To do him a favor? To just be a whipped 9mo pregnant gf who says "how high" when he says "jump"? I'm gonna go with NO. What do people WHO ARE INNOCENT do when they are under fire by LE and the media? They talk. They're open. They repeat their alibi about 1000x's. Bobby won't even tell people what his alibi IS. The guy makes me freakin sick! These coward, pansy, wannabe cassanovas, killing off the first thing that gets in the way of them continuing the party train, are not original, they're pathetic.

I dont believe the newborn to be Jessie's as the mother was on Nancy Grace tonight and stated Chloe weighed more than 6lbs at the last DR. checkup and she didnt believe the baby to be Chloe. I found some of Cutts statements in the interview very odd to say the least-the mentioning of missing coaching as a result of all of this is mind boggling to me? How do you go from one knee filled with anguish photos to grilling in the backyard while the police search your house in the span of 5 days? Perhaps the fbi are looking for the other garage door opener? His interview reminds me alot of the now infamous forced tears Sawyer/Peterson interview.

Folks-Mrs. Porter spoke with Jessie around 9:30pm Wednesday night, whereby she said Bobby C. was going to pick up Blake around 10:00pm. Bobby C. tells police Jessie was to drop Blake off Thursday morning. If you believe Mrs. Porter, Bobby C's "alibi" is shot, he was at the scene, had motive (another child he didn't want to pay for), et al. He couldn't stop by Thursday and be the one to discover the scene and put himself there. So he left Blake to fester.
I'm sure the police have plenty of evidence they've held, and I also think the cell phone records pointed them towards the search warrant today.
It's almost over Bobby-you've tripped over your own timeline, ala Mark Hacking. The arrest is only a matter of short time my friend.

I think this was about her having another dude's kid, that is what snapped him. His alibi has been reported several times to be the bar owned by Nikki's cousin. The time line is screwed up, but my guess is that the relationship's time line has been screwy for a year or more. He works midnight shift, coaches, has kids with two mothers in the area and had custody of another daughter for six months. It sounds like a lot of people do what Bobby wants. Sick is the right word...

Question.
If he did it, why would he take the body? And why would anyone else, who might have done this, take the body?
Scott Peterson wanted to make it look like his wife walked off on her own. But, in this case, be it a planned murder, or accidental one, why take the body? It would just look like someone trashed the place and killed her.
One other thing. Have they gone over "her" car? Maybe the purse dumping was to look for car keys. He uses her car, which would already have her dna all over it, then drives the car back,parks it in the garage, opens the sliding door and tosses the keys back with the rest of the purse contents.
I also do not think that this baby that showed up on the doorstep is hers. That would mean she was carried out alive, kept a few days and then delivered the baby. Why would someone then deposit the baby on a doorstep?

Emerson, Stella and Randy....you have hit the nail on the head ! Everything you all have stated is exactly what I and others have been thinking. I heard Bobby speak of not being able to and missing coaching...good grief....how could that even be an area of concern or even be a smigeon of a thought ?
I also read that during one of the searches he was in his back yard cooking on the grill ?? For real ? Bobby....to me is a very sick and sad individual who needs to be behind bars. Bobby maybe could sleep and eat if he would just confess.

There are 3 things that I just can't seem to reconcile. This is what bothers me. What do you think?
1.I understood the Sheriff to say today or yesterday that Bobby has not taken a lie detector test? Why? Is this why they have called in the FBI to oversee their own department.
2.I read that not one of Jessie's neighbors has ever seen the father of Blake(BC) in her life. Isn't that strange? The neighbor noticed her sister and mother but never saw BC.
3.) BC works the midnight shift. (I just read that in another article).The neighobr who never saw BC thought that she was a waitress (she has a day job with an insurance co)because her lights would be on during the midnight early am hours. Maybe she left her back sliding glass door open for him to come in during his shift. This is a perfect set up for an accident.

MB said: "His alibi has been reported several times to be the bar owned by Nikki's cousin."
Yes, but HE will not say that. He has refused to lock himself into an alibi. Why? If that's what the truth is, he has no reason to hide it. Excpet that it will be proven by cell traces that he spoke with her AFTER he left the bar and then there will be a gap in his own timeline. Of course he'll say he went home and went to sleep or some such nonsense.
SuziQ said: "The CDC ought to be issuing a warning."
NO S&%T! My lord it's ridiculous!
Why take the body?? Because there is evidence all over her from him. She would be the largest piece of evidence tracing back to him, and for pete's sake, he even took a lampshade.
Take a moment and think about your own life and home. Ask yourself this one question: Who would I allow into my BEDROOM, as a single, very pregnant woman, late at night on a work night? Besides my mom or siblings or bff's it would have to be my significant other. Since all of those are covered in Jessie's case barring the S.O., there's your answer. No break-in, no struggle downstairs, no robbery. It's just not that freakin difficult to figure out.
BTW, her mom has been AMAZING. And I loved how she bitched out Nikki G. on NG.

Emerson-I agree with you about the mother-she is very strong and when she went off about Nikki that was perfect. One thing that I have been thinking about though is that if BC wanted to make it seem like he didn't do it, why didn't he go back for Blake? I know that doesn't really make sense since he was out probably disposing of this beautiful mother's body, but why not go back and act as if he had showed up as scheduled and left her there alone and someone attacked then? Instead he leaves his own helpless little son alone and traumatized for God knows how long. This man makes me ill.

fyi, stellacotton--the estimate on weight that an OB gives is far from accurate. the difference between estimated weight and actual weight of the fetus can differ by upwards of a pound, in some instances.

I dont think they had the type of relationship, most people can "relate" to.
Most are thinking, since this is the second child being born (and now he is commenting that its "possibly" not his)that this was a couple in love, in a long term relationship.
What I think is..thats what she wanted to "think", but, he was using her for sex, when he felt like it. I will bet you, if that little boy wasnt born, he would be long gone.
The child they shared, kept him in the picture and she was convenient, when he needed someone.
The fact that he might be wondering if the baby is his, indicates to me, that he wasn't around much and doesn't know or care if she was with other men.
As far as her lights being on all hours of the night. I keep a light on in my bathroom or kitchen, all night long. People do leave lights on when they are asleep, especially, if they have a small child.

That's very true on the weight of babies....mine were always wrong - once they said 7 lbs and he was 10 and then they said 10 lbs and he was 7 so they just guess by the size of your belly and all 5 times my doctors never were close!
But I don't see this being Chloe - just the fact that Jessie would have had to be kept alive for 4 or 5 days is so unlikely. I wish she was but I really doubt that is what we will find out. If BC did this - can you imagine anyone doing this? he would have had to kill her and that poor baby would have been fighting for her life too at that gestational age. What a monster he must be.

Brandi- I think he didn't take Blake because 1) he didn't really care 2) he was thinking he'd be found earlier and if not and something bad happened, oh well 3) Noone would think that he would actually leave Blake if he did it 4) He had a big chore to do after leaving the house and the very last thing he needed to worry about was a crying two year old.
That's just some of the thoughts I think he may have had. He's such a fabulous dad and all.

He may be a cop, but it seems even cops who are criminals can make mistakes.
He probably didn't pick up Blake because he was 1. disposing of the body and 2. was trying to distance himself from the scene.
I'd have to agree with Emerson's earlier assessment (in crimeblog.us) that whatever happened was likely a crime of passion, not a planned one. If that is indeed the case, I don't think he was masked/disguised - I think he didn't count on Blake being so verbal (and I do think he has said more that we don't know about).
All this of course, with the disclaimer that BC is innocent until proven guilty. It's not looking good though.

I was wondering, if the mom found the sliding door opened, could whomever came in found the same thing?
Maybe that slider was opened and he confronted her in the bedroom.
I have read a bunch of articles, many contradict when he was supposed to pick up this child.
One says that night, another says the morning, the mother first says he was supposed to be coming that night, the next comment from her was, no comment.
And I just can't see this child not mentioning daddy was there. Unless, of course, he did, and they aren't saying, so that he doesn't find out and "hangs" himself some other way.
My first opinion was that he did not do it. I based that on what the child said. But, the more I think of it, wouldn't the grandmother ask him who was there (before the cops told her not to question him). I know if it was me, right after I said where's mommy, and got his little reply. My next question would be, who was here?

JJ - don't you think though if she asked Blake that and he said Daddy was here she would have said that on the 911 call? Or that she would have said in the first interview how BC was so devastated when he arrived at the house after hearing the 911 call and showing up? I think that all happened before the police could tell her what to say and what not to say. I just don't think that at that point anyway Blake said Daddy put Mommy in the rug. That's the part that really bugs me about this whole thing. I think he is guilty of either doing it or being part of it but I just don't understand why Blake at that point anyway didn't say Daddy. Because my thought is he would have....

I don't think he gave a second thought to the kid. He was probably more worried about himself and what to do with this person he just killed.
I think he poured the bleach on the rug to try and was away his own blood. I wonder if they examined his body. I understand her washing machines are in the basement. Thats two floors down from the bedroom. How would a stranger even know where to look for bleach? I don't think most people keep bleach bottles in their bedrooms.

I stand by my wee hour o' the morning posts. After watching his interviews, there wasn't a thing about him that made me feel like he was the tiniest bit concerned about his 'girlfriend' or his unborn child.
He was more concerned about the effect the investigation was having on his 'sense of humor' than he was her whereabouts. Even his one remark of supposed concern in the interview was half hearted at best.
The whole thing makes me utterly sick. There isn't just one innocent life at stake here, but two. I pray Jessie's family has some sort of resolution soon.
I am very encouraged that Texas Equusearchh is involved. They are a wonderful organization, and Tim Miller is an amazing and courageous man. For those of you who don't know, Tim's daughter Laura was abducted and murdered from Galveston, Texas in 1985.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and I remember Laura's murder very well. Texas Equusearch was founded on her memory, to assist other families enduring the same nightmare Tim Miller and his family went through.
They've accomplished some amazing recoveries over the years, and are always in need of donations if anyone is ever so inclined. They are my charity of choice whenever we have a bit to spare.
Hopefully Tim and his team can assist LE with finding Jessie and bringing her home.

I suppose it's possible that BC told Blake those things. I have a 2 year old and you can tell him things and he'll repeat them. It's really strange that he remembered them for 24-36 hours at that age. Maybe he (Blake) asked BC what happened to Mommy and he said Mommy's crying it's okay...then later said Mommy broke the table.....then later said Mommy's gone....and so on but I doubt he'd say Mommy's in the rug so I guess that theory really makes no sense. I'm just trying to piece together how a child that age remembers exactly what happened after that many hours passes. My son generally out of sight is out of mind and he seemed to just blurt out exactly what happened right away without much prompting which isn't really typical for that age. You know most of the time I have to prod and coax my son to get him to tell me what I want to know from him and then we have to do it with minimal distraction or we get nowhere. I don't know, I'm rambling here but it just seems a bit strange to me when I think about that aspect. Anyone else?

I don't know what to think.
I do know, that if I was frantic upon coming into this scene, I would have blurted out, where is mommy, like she did.
I probably would have half listened, as I ran through the house and would probably have called the police first, before questioning the child again. But, I think at some point, I would have asked, who was here?
And yes, if he said daddy, at once, I would have told them in the 911. I also read that "daddy" showed up shortly after. If the kid had said daddy, prior, I don't think I would have been able to act normally in front of him.
And yes, it is very possible, that maybe he didn't know him well enough, or even called him daddy.
I just think that this little guy is able to express himself very well and by now, has mentioned, or was asked when interviewed, who was in the house with mommy?

Lizzy, that's the thing - with kids especially trauma like that they generally don't remember things - it's like they shut down. Sometimes they don't even talk or they regress with things like potty training and such. He seems like he's been coached or something odd like that.....which makes little sense unless he (BC) was convinced that no one would suspect him and that Blake did not see anything of what happened to his mommy and just repeated what was drilled into his head. I just think if that little boy was really in shock he would not be talking like he is....and that would make the most sense in why he didn't say daddy because he was just repeating what he was told. If that makes any sense at all. He's just so young and if he truly witnessed a horrific scene involving his mother I would think the trauma would take over. Maybe I'm just way off here. If so just ignore me!!

I think he is too young to be in shock.
I think he saw exactly what he said.
Mommy broke the table. Mommy crying. Mommy in the rug.
And I think if someone said to him, was someone here with mommy, this kid would tell them exactly who was there, if he had a name for this person.
He is probably feeling the loss of his mommy now, because she hasn't been around for a very long time (to him). But, I think, when the grandma found him, he told her exactly what he saw, or at least, as much as he can express with his limited vocabulary.

hey folks....it seems this case has really crashed all the crime blogs...personally, its hard for me to read ctv because I'm in the country and we have dial up and everything there takes so long....
I am not totally sure BC did this crime....but I am thinking he is probably the type that pushes people around....he doesn't seem very smart or charming to me so I don't know what the women saw in him...not even handsome...more of a threatening look....
and I am not sure about the baby, but the weight of the baby is not an issue....I think in your last month you are in to see the dr every week if not twice weekly, so the baby's weight might have been recent, but that was just an estimate afterall..
and a baby LOSES weight the first day or so after birth....
however, that baby had a woman's touch so if BC did it, he had help....maybe his mom, maybe his wifey, who knows....
just because he is who he is, I would like him behind bars...he just deserves jail for being such a creep....

I have three young kids - at 2 years old, one would have been able to verbalize the entire situation start to finish, the other would have had somewhat disjointed phrases like Blake and the other wouldn't have been able to say much more than Mommy and cried a bunch. Certainly verbal development varies greatly at 2. I'm sure they have child development experts working with him or at least observing him at this point to see/hear if anything else is revealed. Poor little guy.

I don't think he would go into shock because he is too little to understand what was going on. You can tell he didn't understand because of what he said.
Not once does he say mommy was hurt or someone scared me.
I have many grandchildren that were all two at one time, plus had children of my own. Unless he felt threatened, which he probably didnt, he wouldn't be in shock at that point. He is too little to understand what was happening.
Now, he might be acting differently because he is feeling the loss of his mom, who probably never left him for this long.

Tonya, Kids that little are all different. Blake seems to be very well versed for his age. My daughter was like that. She'd be so excited over something good or bad that happened that the biggest problem was slowing her down so we could understand what she was saying. I think Blake was very close to grandma and remember he had some big stuff to tell and no one to talk to for at least 24 hours! The little guy ran down those stairs and told grandma.

Thinking back to having toddlers I would have to say that (from experience in the single mom arena) Blake most likely was singularly focused. Meaning "mommy" and anything re: mommy would be his most comfortable reference. Bobby was most likely still a stranger in many ways to Blake since he was not there everyday. They may play well together and have a decent time, but even teaching kids that small who Grandma is (particularly boys) can be a challenge. Girls are typically more vocal at the same age. Though it is hard to reconcile why a child may be able to say something so profound as "mommy's in the rug" and yet not say anything about who put mommy in the rug, it is not that surprising considering all of the trauma and age. Going back to that singular focus, he's focusing in on mommy, not on the perp. In other words, what was Mommy doing? She was in the rug, She was crying, She knocked the table over. NOT so-n-so pushed Mommy, rather Mommy broke table. Does that make sense? His focus is on "his world" who is Mommy. He may not even recognize that this other person is hurting Jessie neccessarily, just that Mommy is upset. Plus, think of it this way. It was late at night. I'm sure Blake was most likely asleep when this started and may have walked into the scene. It may have been dark because of the lamp being knocked over and he may have been crying and blurry eyed. Not exactly a great witness.
Also, JJ about the sliding door. From what I recall, the sliding door was not only unlocked, but the piece of wood that would have normally been in the bottom slot as an extra form of securing the door, was tossed to the side on the floor in the kitchen. Jessie's sister said that she was manic about locking up, as most single mom's are. Jessie was extremely organized, ( two alarm clocks-even one she unplugged and plugged back in everyday, laying out clothes b4 bed, coffee pot ready, dirty dishes washed and put away, etc.), so I doubt she would have left it open. Also, it was well known that that particular exit/enter route was not used very often. Point is that is appears she let the person in through the front locked the door, and the person left through backdoor for added cover.

Why would a home invader carry away the body? And don't they usually "invade" for a reason? Nothing was taken.
There has to be a reason someone would take her out of there.
Reason one: It was the boyfriend, and as someone pointed out, his "evidence" would be on her body, so he had to get her out of there.
Reason two: Somebody wanted the baby, so knocked her out and removed her, alive.
If you go with reason one, the bleach fits. Somehow fluids from his body got on the rug. He also seemed to know where the bleach was kept in that house.
If you go with reason two. Why bother with bleach? Your dna can be all over the place, but without YOU, nobody knows the owner of it.

What about the door from the garage to the house? I think BC had a garage door opener or a code. Going that way was what he always did. He was there to pick up Blake. Whatever hapenned, happened. He took Jesse out the way he came in. No one would be able to see what was going on inside the garage. BC left the backdoor open to make it appear that someone came in that way. If he left the place locked up like he found it. Well that would just point right at him.

FYI, a home invader doesn't always have to take valuables.
Whoever was in the house was hired by Cutts to do the deed.
Otherwise, I agree with the poster who said that Blake would have said Daddy or Bobby put mommy in rug.

Hmm..
Could "mommy in the rug" possibly mean "mommy is ON the rug" and that bleach was poured there for some other reason than cleaning up his own dna?
Sometimes children of that age, dont use the right words to express themselves and he could be saying "in" but means "on".
My very first thought on the bleach, was he thought he could remove his own blood, but I read someplace that he was in short sleeves and shorts and there were no marks on him.
Could she have been "on" the rug and he poured bleach on her?

I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that most of the confusion swirling around this case results from the news coverage of it - mainly the printing or broadcasting of "facts" that are mentioned once and then dropped - possibly for lack of corroboration? Or repeating as fact things that law enforcement has stated are not true.
Just a few examples - Nikki said that Cutts had been convicted of perjury "several" times, but though posters both here and on other crime blogs/forums have gone digging through his public record, not a single perjury conviction has been posted anywhere, that I have seen. An illegal U-turn, a seatbelt violation, and an NC plea to trespassing (not a conviction for assault, no matter how many times people say it was) - those are all that have been found, that I have seen. Yet this one statement made by this one woman seems to have been picked up by every media outlet in the country and repeated ad naseum.
The media, from the big boys on down, keep reporting that LE search Cutts' home on Monday night - at some point, the addition of the backyard barbecue was made. This is still being reported, widely, despite the fact that at last night's (Tuesday's) press conference, the officer giving the briefing said, point blank, they had searched Cutts' home only once, on Friday. The went Monday only to take pictures of Cutts' truck, but they removed no evidence from it at the time. Yet this statement, direct from the horse's mouth, as it were, has yet to be reported by anyone - if you didn't watch the press conference, you don't know it was said.
This should in no way be construed as "support" or "excuses" for Bobby Cutts, but rather as a general comment on the state of the frenzy surrounding this case and the apparent ability of everyone covering it to drop the ball when it comes to getting the facts straight (or at least trying to straighten things out when they get them wrong).

Riko,
If he hired someone to kill her..then why not just leave the body there?
I asked, earlier, what was the point of taking the body, no matter who did it.
It was pointed out, that his dna, in one form or another, would be on her. That made a lot of sense to me and answered WHY it was important for him to get her out of there.
If it was some other person, like a hired one, there would be NO reason for him to take her. He could kill her and leave her.

I think the media will report anything they hear. The most important thing for them, is to get it out first.
I have read so many contradicting reports. Someone just posted a link here tonight, and when I went to read it, it has the child being left alone from thursday night..when we all know, it was wednesday night. The report states thursday night, twice, so it was no typo. It was just bad reporting. They want it out there, and whether it is right or wrong, doesnt matter.
I think the majority of us, can see this and we are basing what we think on what the child said and the condition of the house. It also doesnt help that there is still no word on where this man was, and that he tells a different story on when he was to pick this child up, than she told her mom.
As far as this nikki person. I think she would say anything, to hang the guy. I am sure she had problems, but her problems have nothing to do with this girls disappearance.
As far as this man grilling his dinner, do we really care if he cooked outside or inside? People need to eat. She's been missing a week. Do we expect those involved not to eat a thing all week? The media decided that was an important fact, not any of us.

I think the umbrage taken with Cutt's cooking on the grill, was because it was reported he was grilling on his BBQ while the FBI was at his home, in his garage. It struck me as a bit heartless as well.
But I agree the media will sensationalize the smallest detail to make an article more 'newsworthy'.

This is really sad. I feel so sorry for all of the children in this sort of situation. When well women learn. Sometimes you got to use your head for more than hair styles. When looking for love (don't look for married men). Most of them are so selfish they don't care about anyone but themselves. These days, women (all women) seem like they just can't help themselves (anything goes). They don't care what they do. The sad part is the children suffer the most. This poor girl is missing and because of silly choices made for love. It is just so sad.

I know I would not be cooking outside on the grill while the FBI was at my house....but I think he thought it made him look unsuspicious and like the "family kinda guy" ? Looks like he was not worrying to much about his GF and baby to me !!! The point of talking about him standing outside grilling is that if the FBI is at your house searching your vehicle for clues as to whether or not you murdered your GF would you feel like grilling? Probably not. He even said in his interview that he can't eat or sleep-my guess is that he was trying to keep his distance from the FBI agents so as to not show or say anything that would make them believe he is guilty.

Brandi, Sally, EPS, JJ - Yes, if the man were grilling in the backyard while the FBI searched his home, I agree, it would look bad for him. It would make him appear to be supremely disinterested in the disappearance, in the very lives, of his girlfriend and their unborn child.
However, I distinctly heard Rick Perez say during Tuesday's press conference (and I'd give you a link if I could find one. I've found Monday's and Wednesday's, but not Tuesday's, so any help on that one, please?) that they did not search his home on Monday. He actually looked surprised that anyone thought they had. The only thing he said they did on Monday was search Cutts' truck, which according to this article - http://tinyurl.com/2mtqxr - they did at some location other than his house.
So if Rick Perez is to be believed, then the police weren't at Cutts' house on Monday, which would mean it's impossible that he was grilling in the backyard while they were. He might have been grilling, but according to the Chief Deputy, the police weren't there while he did it.
That was my point earlier. Facts and hunches and rumors are all getting lumped together and mixed together, and no one in the main-stream media is even attempting to sort them out.
Like the fact that apparently one of Kelly Cutts' children isn't Bobby's (or might not be Bobby's), but the media keep reporting as fact that they have two daughters together.
And this one, which is a direct quote I transcribed from Monday's press conference.
Reporter: There is one other report out there that says for a brief period of time Kelly Cutts' was unaccounted for or missing or that her whereabouts were unknown. Is that true or is that not true?
Perez: No, that is not true.
And that one, like all the others, is *still* showing up in media reports from around the country.
Is it any wonder that no one on the outside can really figure out what's going on?

I totally agree with you on the conflicting news reports. The article I was referring too said he was grilling while they were in his garage, not his house. I didn't specify a day, because I wasn't sure which day they were referring too. I do believe it was before Monday, but I would have to hunt the article down again to be sure.
It's definitely a challenge to sift the rumors from the truth though.It's a shame some news organizations are more interested in salacious sound bites than they are fact checking.

Ahh, I was wrong about the day I saw it. It was Tuesday.
Here's a link to the article from the Canton Rep DC: http://tinyurl.com/2lm3rv
The line about him grilling in the backyard is certainly vague enough to be unsubstantiated. But it certainly stuck out in my mind at the time, which I am sure was the intention.
However, his own callousness as evidenced in his interviews certainly does more to make me suspicious of him than that one line of the article did. I still can't get over his completely narcissistic demeanor about the whole tragedy.
It's very unsettling, especially when your talking about a beautiful young mother to be and her unborn child. As a mother it just tears my heart out to think how frightened Jessie must be for the life of Baby Chloe.

I don't think that kind of racial rhetoric has anything to do with the case. The race thing is a non-issue like with the Scott and Lacey Peterson topic.
Plus, I somehow doubt you are black. Just because you preface it with "I AM so and so" and then say disparaging things about what you supposedly so and so are, it's an attempt at making it seem okay. Also, kind of interesting that the exact same words you, supposedly an African American, wrote is the same stuff said in a Louis Theroux documentary about nazis... food for thought.

Don't assume that Blake hasn't told Police that "daddy" was there. Since anything a toddler says isn't admissible in court, that knowledge could only be used as an investigative tool. They wouldn't release that to the public for the same reason they don't name someone a "suspect". In these times they always have to think ahead to the trial procedings and how the defense would try and jump on their investigation.
The Police know who their person is circumstantially and are going about this the right way in collecting the hard and fast evidence. Bobby has already countered the knowledge the Police have that places him at the scene on that Wednesday night, and the kid for all we know has told them much more.

I think the bleach was 'scattered' around simply because the abductor wasn't sure if any evidence from himself was there, and it was kind of a quick hit or miss action. I think he was pretty sure nothing from himself was on the carpet, but it was just a little finishing touch 'in case'. So he just poured the bleach on the side of the bed he'd drug her out on. Plus, it was dark, maybe he couldn't see, maybe there was no ceiling light. The lamp was broken? So just scatter it around and hope for the best.
Also, people relieve themselves when they are unconscious. Maybe he wanted to get rid of that.
Maybe he used her own car to drive her somewhere and it should be very closely examined for signs of bleach and urine. (that's why her purse contents were poured out, getting her keys)
Surely there is an investigative test that tells if there is dried bleach on something? I believe it reacts strongly alkaline with pH paper. They should do something to check the pH of the inside of all of her and his vehicles.
And I bet he had bleach and urine on his own clothing too. There are manmade fabrics bleach doesn't discolor. It may be there but you can't tell. I'd bet his clothing, however, has lots of spattering and was probably ruined.

Randy - I agree...I'll bet Blake has already said something about daddy. He has seen a child psychologist who, in all likelihood, has gotten much, much more from him. The thing that I keep thinking is that Patty would have expected Blake to say that daddy had been there; she, too, expected that he'd been there. He was supposed to have been there - both Wednesday night to pick up Blake and Thursday to drop him back off at home. So, even if Blake had said that she might not have questioned it. My guess is her initial thought was an intruder AFTER Blake had been dropped off. She had NO IDEA he'd never been picked up.

Norine, can you see the grill marks on Bobby C. now? The FBI and LE are closing in FAST.
Yes, the guy and his ilk are pathetic. I'm sorry that gals like Jessie for whatever reason fall prey and victim. Nobody deserves this-but we all need to be very careful of the choices we make in life, particularly when it comes to DECIDING who should be the father/mother of our kids.
Ok, off of the soapbox. I'm about 45 minutes from the search and would have went out as a volunteer today if I could have.

Emerson, you are bang on with your reaction wrt how one would imagine BC would behave upon being questioned. He's in law enforcement for cripes sake! He (should?) knows the statistics and that most pg women are harmed by bf/husband. I would totally expect him to have the attitude you suggested he'd have, not the one he is exhibiting. It doesn't make sense.
If BC actually did the deed and didn't "hire" it out, do you think it's possible he put Blake back to bed? If BC's wife didn't know about Blake and Chloe, how is it that we keep hearing what a great father he's been to Blake? I don't get that. How can he truly be an involved father if his wife doesn't know this other child even exists. I've heard both reported. Did Kelly know or not? Even though they're separated, they have not been separated the entire time Blake has been on this earth, as I understand it.
If BC is such a wonderful, caring, loving father, why didn't he go to Jessie's house when he couldn't reach her to make sure she was okay. Assuming Chloe isn't even BC's child (I highly doubt that), a GREAT father wouldn't leave the mother of his child (Blake) to be in labor, having fallen down the stairs, passed out, or whathaveyou knowing his son is there to witness whatever it is that is keeping Jessie from answering the phone. And from all reports, Jessie was extremely responsible and routine-driven, so BC would know when he couldn't reach her something was wrong.
BC could NOT be the person that found Jesse, and he KNEW that. The only thing that truly makes sense in this case is that BC is involved in some way. If he didn't do it, he had it done, imo.
About the lamp shade. . . Does the crime lab have the lamp shade or did the perp take it with him? I think some are assuming the perp took it, but maybe the crime lab has it?
About what Blake said. . . I'm not sure a 2 year old knows how to do anything but tell the truth. I think they are the "perfect" witness. And I think at 2 one would be too young to be what we consider traumatized. For all we know, whoever took Jessie told Blake that "mommy is asleep" or something. He most likely did not understand the sitch enough to be traumatized, imo.

Surely there is an investigative test that tells if there is dried bleach on something? I believe it reacts strongly alkaline with pH paper.
~~~
There is a way. Water. If you pour water on dried bleach, it reactivates it. Have you ever used bleach, and the clothing you are wearing, seemed fine afterwards..but once you washed it..all kinds of white spots show up? Water will do the trick.
I have said from the gitgo, that the dumped purse was to get to her car keys. I think he used her car to rid himself of the body. He left the slider opened so he could come back and toss in the keys. Keep in mind, the table with the purse contents on the floor, is right by that door (according to what I read on Gretas walk thru.
I believe many people here are basing their relationship on what someone in love would do, if they got no answer on the phone. We seem to think that there should be love involved if they were on a second child together.
I dont think thats the case. I think she was in love, but she was a convenience to him. He used her. She was available, because the child kept them in contact. If not for the child, I think he would have been long gone.
My daughter was recently pregnant. Toward the end, she was mostly always home. I tried to call her several times one morning and got no answer. I managed to reach another daughter, who then beeped this one on the nextel. She was out. Nothing wrong. But, you see, I love this person, so theres the difference. I made SURE I found her.
JJ, my comments wrt BC's not checking in with Jessie were directed to the fact that people who know BC say he is a "wonderful" "loving" father. Forget he's not in love with the mother of his child. Does he not care about his son? How can he be a great father if he doesn't even love his son?
I dont think he was a great father.
Great fathers marry the mothers, before or sometime after the child is born. A great father is a full time father. Not, a father of convenience.
Barbara-I heard a telephone interview with Kelly Cutts yesterday-forgive me I can't remember on what channel-but she explained the situation. Bobby and Kelly seperated a couple of years ago, that is when he had relations with Jessie and Blake was conceived-after that Kelly and Bobby got back together and he told her all about Blake-she said Blake is a very big part of their lives and they have him quite a bit-she said Bobby is a wonderful father and that she was aware of the fact that Jessie was pregnant again with Bobby's child. The reporter then asked if that was the reason that her and Bobby had seperated again in February and she declined to comment. But I do believe the Patty Porter said on Nancy Grace that that was the reason they had seperated again was because Jessie was pregnant again with Bobby's next child.
I think he was probably drinking at the bar, called Jesse to tell her he was coming over, when he got there, they went upstairs for sex, she said something that he didn't like (maybe even something about another man or the baby), Cutts got angry, hit her in the stomach because he was so enraged, it broke her water and freaked her out to the point of her screaming that he had hurt the baby. At that point, he knows that she will pin him for murder of the baby, so he has to get rid of her. It was a moment of rage that had lifelong consequences for him and he had to fix it.
He had to take the body because not only had he left clues on the cell phone but he had slept with her and he couldn't clean out what he had left without just getting rid of the body.
The cell phone would show that he had contacted her to come over.
And if he had come back for Blake, how would Blake have acted toward him. He was confused and didn't know what to do about Blake, so just left him for the time being.
He couldn't go back to the house either because he was afraid of being caught there (no telling when someone was going to show up). Better to try to figure something out with Blake or wait until someone found him or he hurt himself. He was confused at this point.
Just my thoughs....
The news just reported that over 1,000 people have gathered for the search... I pray they find something...
As far as BC goes I think he is guilty.. I think after he arrived they had an argument and things got ugly.. I wonder if his saying "possibly" was a clue.. Maybe she told him while they were arguing that he was not the father or that he would never be allowed to see the kids.. He does have a temper as we've seen from the xgf..
I think he removed her body because he was afraid some evidence would be found on her.. Also with no body a time of death could not be determined.. Maybe he planned on going back to get Blake but something spooked him or he was afraid of being seen..
It blows my mind when I think he has children from 3 women.. What he never heard of a vasectomy? Obviousy BC is not too smart..
I pray I am wrong and she is still alive being held by some nut waiting for the birth of her child..
MZ-I'm right there with you-a lot of what you just said is exactly what I've been thinking. I believe that he got rid of the body to cover the fact they had just had sex also. What gets me is the bleach-bleach doesn't cover blood-so what was he trying to cover? I was thinking that her water broke and that's what it could've been, but I still don't understand that at all.
I just watched Greta touring the house and with the sister saying that the bleach wasn't poured in a puddles, like the news reports are saying, I'm not sure that I get that part either. I don't know about the bleach.... The sister also said that there were NO other signs of marks or anything on the light colored carpet either. Maybe I'm off on the water breaking. I still think they had sex though, that's why he had to get rid of her body.
JJ- I appreciate what you are saying about great father's marrying the mother's, but I have to disagree. Marriage does not a great father make. BC could still have been a great father to Blake, or any other kid whom he wanted to create while sneaking around on his wife with some other gf, if he truly wanted to. He obviously put up a decent front to those that knew him as far as his parenting skills go. I assume most here have kids and know how difficult it can be raising them, even when there aren't difficult issues such as custody or several children by several diff women. So I also imagine that everyone can assume that it would be difficult, at best, for BC to do a great job in this situation to all of his children.
I think he was very overwhelmed and also had the added pressure of being a cop. (*No Excuses here*) In some ways, although it is his own damn fault, I believe he resented Jessie. She represented, to him, his albatross and also what was causing his seperation from his wife. Mind you, that's how a narccissist thinks, because it's his own damn fault. For w/e reason he snapped that night.
About the doors and car: I believe it was only a one car garage and Jessie's car was parked inside. I don't think BC would have risked using her car and coming back to the home again. Too many chances to be seen. He wanted to get out of there quickly. I also think it would have been a very narrow area for him to exit through in the garage while carrying Jessie and that's one reason I believe he did use the sliding door. Also, did anyone see the sliding door exit on Greta? It was pretty hidden from view. If the backporch light was off it would have been a great cover to exit while carrying something large. He took the comforter too to be able to conceal DNA evidence from car and to conceal her. (Hard to do with a 9mo pregnant woman)
Re: Blake, remember that 36hrs past from the time of the incident, which would mean that he slept quite a bit of that time. I'm wondering how much that may have played into the confusion he may have with memory. Differentiating between dream or reality. Also, I noticed BC wearing slightly different things in the pics I've seen, hat, glasses, no hat, no glasses, which I have to wonder if it was at all confusing to Blake. Remember that case of the young girl (maybe 7) who was raped along with her Grandmother being killed and she named her Uncle Clarence? She misidentified her own uncle at that age, so I assume Blake could have been very confused.
Bleach: If it was used by Jessie as an attempt at defending herself, I'd look for singed hair on BC's arms. It does burn off your hair fyi. It may have also been used to cover her h2o breaking and could explain the discombobulated way it was splashed across the carpet, as her water would not have broken in one spot if she was in a struggle.
I'll shutup now. Sorry so long.
I am sure this child would recognize the father under any circumstances. I know a child, who at 2, knew it was her dad dressed up as santa and not the real deal. I think she knew by the voice.
This little guy seems very smart, to me.
He managed to tell the grandma what he thought was most important.
He also managed to get himself some food.
There is no doubt in my mind, that this child already "gave him up" and we aren't hearing about it because they need more solid evidence than the words of a two year old.
When I became interested in this case, I didnt think it was the dad.
What really changed my mind, was the answer someone gave here, on why he would remove the body. A stranger would have no reason to do that. Their dna could be all over the place and without him, nobody would know who it belonged to. But, that changes when it is someone close to the victim. His dna on her body, would point directly to him.
I think the media is not doing a good job on what they report (as usual). It is more important to get something, anything, out there, first. They are dwelling on silly issues, because they have nothing else to report. I have seen a few articles that dont even have the days straight, making it look like the child was left alone, only overnight.
This bleach issue has been reported as being a puddle. Now, the sister says it was a "splashing". Which is it? Because that would make a difference as to why it was done.
I think they have more on BC than they are letting us know and I bet ya little Blake told them much more than what they are letting the public know. To me...BC is looking more and more guilty every day. I thought from the start he was the one who did it and everything is pointing to him. It will all come out. This nightmare he is living in that he says just keeps getting worse all the time....well of course it is getting worse as they are closing in on him.
The fact that he is more concerned about how he is usually "joking around" and a "fun kinda guy always making everyone laugh"and now he is not....he seems to be trying to paint this "poor Me" picture and "see what a neat guy I really am"?.
I agree with you all about him not checking as to why Jessie did not answer his calls when she was indeed expecting him to come to pick up Blake, shows so much about what kind of person he is.
I can hardly wait to hear the news when he is finally taken away and put behind bars....he makes me sick !
I wonder if he tried to contact the child, after all of this. Wouldnt a "good" daddy do that? Wouldnt a "good" daddy be concerned with how the child is getting along, after what he went through?
I wonder if he is "allowed" to speak to him. Would the police give orders that he cant contact the child? If so, wouldnt that give away, to him, that he is suspected more than they are saying?
This guy has to be a real idiot, to think that he wasnt suspect numero uno from day one. If the average person knows how these cops "work it", wouldnt a cop know what they are up to?
I dont believe Blake said anything more then what has been reported until much later. I don't really know why he would not immediately say "who" made mommy cry, except to say that his focus was only on her. We see important details as cause vs. effect. Blake only sees effect in re: to Jessie as being important. He did report what he thought was most important first, and may later have said the "who". It's all so strange. Poor little guy.
I bet BC was listening to that scanner for 36hrs waiting for the 911 call to come in so he could rush over there and be on the scene. Here he knew Blake was there all alone during that timeframe and did nothing. Great Dad! I guess the more important question right now is, where would he have taken her? From Jessie's home what would be a good, concealed area for him to have gone to late at night, with little or no planning? Anyone a local?
JJ-Jessie's mom said last night on Nancy Grace that he has tried to contact Blake by phone but that it was advised by the cops that Blake was not allowed to speak to anyone-including dear old daddy-I think that is a good idication of what is going on. O.k. enough already. People go missing everyday. Sometimes they go away own their own and sometimes they may have a little help. This woman had to have enough common sense to know that the shameful lifestlye she was living could be harmful to one's health. It is a shame that she is missing and her little boy is without his mother. This story is getting a little old and I am getting tired of it. There are hundreds of thousands of people in this country that go missing every year. Some are found and some are not. Someone should have stepped in and had a serious little talk with Jessie and Kelly. I bet both of these pityful women fought like cats and dogs over that loser (BC). Enough sugar coating these creeps (Jessie, Bobby, and Kelly). Decent women don't date married men and have children by them. I don't care if the jerk was seperated from his wife (married means married). Bobby is not a good father or cop. He would have been creating social problems for American society (children out of wedlock with no full-time fathers). Kelly, stop defending that creep. He is not a good man or a good father. Why do you feel the need to paint him as something good when God only knows what he has done to you and your kids and not to mention that "airhead white girl".
Someone should have told you two women that you deserve better than a cocky "dick happy" bum whose only purpose is to drop children by disparate who don't know no bette.
This story is getting on my last nerve. I am turning my attention to news that is worth listening to >>hint hint---Iraq, Sudan, Israel etc...
Indeed many people go missing all the time however, this "airhead white girl"?????? did not deserve this. She was a working mom and evidently got herself in a situation that was not the greatest but it seems like for her son she was trying to make the best of it. Not sure as to why one would refer to her as "airhead" ?
She may have not known Mr Bobby was married when she got mixed up with him, ya know ? I feel for all the missing people, but this one has hit alot of us and we feel for the families involved. I hope they make an example out of this deadbeat dad/BF/cop/lover....whatever he is pretending to be and just happened to get in over his poor lil head. As any decent father/lover/Bf/cop would do....he got rid of the problems in his life and now his problems have turned into Nightmares ! Bobby will look good in stripes and behind bars !
Oh he definitely had plenty of time to hide the body. All night long..and his alibi is sleeping. Who could argue that? Dont most people sleep at night?
Oh..so they wont let the "dad of the year" talk to the kid? Smart move.
I get the feeling this is gonna come to a head real soon.
If he did it, he moved the body. By now, they have his clothes and any evidence from the cars. There has GOT to be fibers, if he used one of his cars..or, hers. And I am sure, by now, they have the phone records. I am betting police can get those almost immediately.
As in most cases, we arent hearing everything. But, I dont think we have to. Most of us have followed cases like this before. I think we all know where this one is going.
I just saw the picture of the bread in the bed for the first time. As a parent of a verrrry smart and vocal 2 1/2 year old boy, it hit me immediately that someone must have made that sandwich for Blake. I haven't seen this theory posted before (sorry if I missed it) but my son, who can do many many things for himself, could not have made that sandwich. It looks to me like it has several layers - perhaps turkey/cheese/turkey/cheese - and it is evenly distributed and placed on that bread. Even if Blake had the ingredients within his reach (though common sense tells me they would have been in the refrigerator, and my son cannot open the fridge by himself) I do not believe he would have made such a perfect sandwich. And even then, carrying it from downstairs back upstairs, it is hard for a boy that age to carry a sandwich ANYWHERE without dropping parts of it along the way.
So assuming that someone made it for him - what would that tell us? In my opinion, someone who cared for him - took him and the sandwich and placed him back in his bed with it, knowing that it would be enough to sustain him until he was found. I wonder if they can do any "food testing" to figure out how long it had been unrefrigerated. And I could definitely ask my son, upon showing him the sandwich, "Did you make this yourself?" If he had, he would nod or say yes - if he had not, he would say "Daddy made it for me."
What's tired and old is the old mantra of "Hundreds of thousands of other people go missing everyday and they don't get this kind of attention", pinky. At least be original when you decide to spank people on a blog. Does the unborn, innocent child not deserve your attention either? Does Blake not deserve to have his mother found, regardless of what you think about the choices she has made? None of us were in her shoes and none of us were behind closed doors when BC told her whatever lies worked to get her exactly where he wanted her, in bed. He's obviously pretty good at what he does because he has not only pulled this over on one woman, but several. In the end, it matters not. She IS the victim here. Not in her lifestlye, but in the fact that she is most likely dead. She did NOTHING to deserve it or bring it upon herself. If you are so fed-up with this story or with the coverage of cases like these, change the channel and pick another webpage.
JJ- We have to keep in mind that whether he knew forensics or not, he was in a desperate state. He did the best he could to pick up the evidence, but could not be perfect since I believe this was not planned. The comforter fibers may be an issue if he had planned it, but in this situation I believe he thought fibers or DNA from her would be much worse, so he wrapped her up, and most likely vaccuumed the vehicle afterwards. He did nothave the luxury of pulling off the perfect crime, so while we may find the mistakes he makes (that will come out) as dumb for a cop, he was operating under duress. All which are good points for LE solving this crime.
Could that sandwich have been made by the grandma AFTER he was found and thats where he went with it and they just happened to photograph the bed with it there?
I think a 2 year old might be able to put a piece of cheese between two slices of bread, but not a sandwich like you describe.
I havent seen the picture, by the way.
I cant imagine someone discontinuing his murdering and coverup to make a kid a sandwich like that. And if that sandwich was there for a day and a half, the kid would have eaten at least some of it.
I am betting the sandwich came way afterwards, but before the photo.
In reading comments I am surprised how many people think some things "do not make sense". We're talking murder - that in itself does not make sense. Anyone who murders someone is not thinking like you.
Why did he take the body? - Why not. Maybe he thinks with no body there is no murder. Maybe he thinks subconsciously that it the body is distant it keeps him at distance. Most likely he thinks if it's an abduction the blame would be to a rapist murderer and not himself because he was her lover after all.
The little boy didn't see him cause he was in disguise. Ski mask would do it - kids like that are not that perceptive. He didn't know it was his Dad. They are talking to him - trust me.
Motive? - Comon! Child support. He'll have to support 4 kids. She's putting pressure on him to divorce his wife but he feels he can't. Meanwhile the wife is putting pressure on him to drop the floozy.
Em--I dont think this was planned either.
If her mom was correct and he called her earlier, and the plan was for him to come get the kid and he didnt, I think she called him.
And probably, when she found he was boozin' rather than picking him up, she wasnt thrilled. Nor, was he, because I am sure she gave him hell.
Maybe thats what led up to the killing. One word let to another. He had been drinking. And the whole thing was an unfortunate accident..well, if we want to call it that. He then, of course, had to ditch the body.
Sorry, you must be right Brandi - when I saw that picture it was the first I had seen of it (other than hearing that it existed, found in his bed) and I did not see that part of Greta's "tour" of the house. I guess the part that looks like cheese is the upside down crust of the bun, and since it looks like he nibbled around the edges, it's harder to see it as a bun.
Breaking News >> Cadaver Dogs in Missing Mom Search Hit Scent on Fresh Dirt Mound
This is what it says now:
UNIONTOWN, Ohio — BREAKING NEWS: Cadaver dogs searching for missing pregnant mom Jessie Davis have hit on a scent where there's a fresh mound of dirt in a waste area at Highland Park Street NW and Aultman Avenue, in Canton.
A sergeant with the Springfield Police Department called for the dogs around noon today when the mound was discovered. Five dogs and their handlers are concentrated in an area off Highland Park where a lot of trash has been dumped.
The search party with the group has been asked to wait on a grassy hill roughly 50 feet from where the cadaver dogs are concentrated.
One of the volunteer searchers, a 10-year-old boy, found a green rug in the vicinity with a white pattern. It was thought that the rug seemed to be there for a lengthy period of time.
Geeze Pinky, This story is getting on your last nerve? Imagine how Jessie's family feels! Too bad they and alot of other people have to worry and fret and go through hell and inconvenience YOU. You are as selfish and self centered as Bobby Cutts.
While I've been adamant in regards to Bobby C.'s involvement-and the odds favor that greatly, I just saw Larry Kobilinsky just make a convincing argument on MSNBC in regards to the bleach indicating it to be a pre-natal thing. I'm still sticking with Bobby since it all seems to fit-ie situation, motive, means, opportunity, et. al. We'll know for sure when they find the body shortly if she's "still with child".
Prenatal thing? As in bathing in it maybe? I guess that would explain the bleach not being in the laundry room. It's been mentioned that Jessie was a bit of a clean freak. She could have had the bleach upstairs to clean her bathrooms. I use it on my floors.
Has live chopper feed. I was able to watch for a little..and it died on me.
But, there is some video, you can bring up with them interviewing someone who found this "grave". He describes it as 6 feed long and 3 feed across, and he felt like it could have a human body in it.
They are now saying that they are bringing out a cooler. The dogs are coming out and more cops are going in.
I am gonna try again for the live feed, but, I think its overloaded.
No link, reported live on screen by the reporter on the scene for Fox News. He indicated it was a 'key law enforcement official' who would not discuss what the evidence was, but was the first to mention murder and kidnapping as the probable cause for the second search of Cutts home. So far the blue tarp, the cooler, the description of the man who found the spot the dogs were brought to make it look like there is something there. The reports from the fire station where Tim Miller is seem to indicate that they were disappointed with the site, but nothing of substance about the spot has been reported yet. I guess the tarp could be a precaution to prevent surveillance while they look in the hole.
Hello, so glad to have found this site. Something that has stuck in my mind from the get go is that Cutts definitely knows something. His interview was very telling, as some already pointed out. BUT, here is what caught my eye.
It was not discovered until Friday morning that she was missing. Cutts did an interview Tuesday with Canton. He stated that he has been worried for the "last 5 days." Kinda hard to be worried BEFORE the crime was reported. Right?
I think that the thunderstorm warning is getting people called in from the search - lighting hazard. But it may also be a convenient time to call it because of the find. The reporter is Rick Leventhal. He reports that the FBI took four bags, his DNA, his two cell phones. He was re-Mirandized by the FBI after having waived his Miranda rights to the local police on Friday. All of this was reported by Leventhal just now on live shot.
Raining hard now. The rain seems to have cut the aerial feeds off, perhaps there is no shot, perhaps they are grounded briefly. Greta Van Sustern is reporting that the FBI has had video tape of Cutts in a sports bar on Wednesday night from around 8:30 until midnight.
It was not discovered until Friday morning that Jessie was missing. Cutts did an interview Tuesday with Canton. He stated that he has been worried for the "last 5 days." Kinda hard to be worried BEFORE the crime was reported. Right?
Ever notice that guilty people (especially bad cops) never ask for a lawyer? They have been working on their "story" for too long. They are prepared to tell what happened.
Too bad about the weather...I pray for the searchers and family.
It seems to me that for all intents and purposes, Cutts is already in custody. He is the most watched guy in America now. They can take their time with the arrest, and build their case carefully. If they cannot make the case, they have not hurt themselves by arresting him. I also think that they hope he will talk publicly more - like Scott Peterson, it isn't likely to help Cutts.
Now, I dont really buy any of this stuff. But, he did this on June 19th and says she will be found in 2 days at 5:30 pm.
I cant tell you how this is giving me the creeps right now. If they should continue on, in the rain, they just might take something out of the ground at just about that time.
Steve? About Brians sight. Do you want to take this one, or should I? While Brian is entertaining, and very interesting. He should be taken with a grain of salt. They have put a blue tarp up? Where did you see or read this? I thought it was a negative hit for the dogs. But a Garbage dump is a very good place to hide a body. One of the patholigists said yesterday that the bleach was used to cover DNA, his example was semen on the rug. I to believe that sex had occurred. This close to delivery it may not have been vaginal. There was no actual blood splatter. I really think that idea of using her car to transport the body is great. It gave the perp a chance to come back and see if the child was sleeping. Or at least keep his car clean. I keep wondering if they checked the trunk of her car for evidence of fiber from the comforter. The Mother is so terrific. She displays her raw grief with such dignity. She is not angry , she just seems numb, and very tired.
Did anyone else notice the smirk on the chief's face when the reporter asked him about the 'suspect' and he answered 'he is not a suspect'. The smirk and the fact that he knew who the reporter meant sure looked like a guy that knows that Bobby Cutts is his guy. They are being careful in the extreme, and I'd love to hear what the county attorney is saying to the LE leadership. Also, was it me, or did he also sigh in a resigned way when he said 'Jessie is still missing'. I watched it four times and it sure seems like a resigned sigh. Anyone else notice or have a take on it?
Okay what is up with people? Bobby's wife says he is a wonderful father. Jessie's sister says Jessie has never done anything wrong to anyone and that she is the nicest person. I mean until she sleeps with your husband and has his babies? I'm just curious if anyone else who is following this story sees this? Why is everyone so nice to Bobby? He wears his weding ring still. He and his wife have not filed for divorce. Bobby has his girlfriend with his kid and she's pregnant again. Meanwhile he lives at his mom's house while he decides who he wants? How is that a good dad? You can't tell me that these women were okay with that? And being in that situation is not going to help someone feel healthy and as peaceful as possible to face motherhood with a smile on a daily basis.
Okay Kim, thankyou for commenting on Whitney's attitude which has annoyed me since day one. Today when 1500 people showed up to help find Jessie, instead of expressing her gratitude, Whitney said that the reason so many people have shown up to help is because people can see what a good person Jessie was? I'm not trying to sound like Dr. Laura Schlessinger but doesn't anyone care about morals anymore? Why couldn't Whitney express her thanks. I honestly would be concerned about peoples reactions to my sister's choices if I were Whitney.By the way I'm not suggesting Jessie deserved what happened and I would help the search if I lived near Ohio. I think maybe society has just come to accept all types of behaviors.
The mother is a rock. She knows what the sister knows, and is able to keep her focus on the search. The sister is stewing in the sickening juice of knowledge she can't reveal - probably including the poor little boy's words about who was there. Tim has been through it personally, and it is clear where his heart is - helping the families deal with the horror. I hope that the family gives the sister a day of rest from having to talk to everyone. She has been available to anyone, anytime and it is wearing her down. I admire the mother and sister immensely in this, and I appreciate that LE is handling it meticulously publicly. Don't want another circus trial, and with all of the background, the racial case pending, the family complexities, the possibility of yet another man involved...it could quickly become a circus. Thank heaven there are no rich people involved.
By the way, the local news has stated twice that the area of the blue tarp is still being worked on. No more aerials there, though. WOIO and Action 19 haven't mentioned the activity at the tarp site for 40 minutes or so. Would be great to get a feed out there somewhere to see what kind of activity is going on around, and what kind of vehicles, personnel, etc. are there.
Janine-to respond to your question. It appears, according to court documents and Nikki, Cutts was an abuser. Most abusers appear to those not involved in an intimate relationship like they are fine upstanding citizens. Usually, only those intimately involved see the abusive side and many victims very tell their family and friends of the abuse. His wife could still be involved with Cutts, therefore defending him.
Just becuase Jessi slept with a married man and had his babies does not mean she is a bad person. For all we know, she may not have even known he was married when she became involved with him. Believe me, I have been in a situation quite similar and was oblivious to the fact that he had been with another women for 8 years. It happens. It happens all the time.
Kim/Janine-couldn't agree more in terms of Whitney's attitude, snotty was the appropriate word. Didn't rub off very well on me in spite of the circumstances. We all know that entire family has been coached to say "no comment" to anything Bobby Cutts, but with all due respect-cmon Whitney.
I'm right here in Cleveland and the showing of the estimated 1800 is a testament to this area being a real family/roots part of Americana.
The search warrant for Bobby C. indicated "aggravated MURDER'-if you don't think the police have their sights (and plenty of ammo) think AGAIN.
I wouldn't label her bad or good. I'm labeling her actions and choices. I think messing around with a married man is a bad choice. I am sure that most women would not be pleased if their husband pulled these shenanigans. I think continuing to mess around with a married man is a really bad choice. Sure, she might be fun, friendly, a polite driver, etc. but I wouldn't want her for a friend.
Last night when Larry King was interviewing Patty Porter, he really made it sound like they had completed the DNA testing and the baby was definitely Jessie's. I find it repulsive that you are judging other's comments, how's that?
We wouldn't be here if we didn't care-Jessie has all of our sympathies and support. Not to learn after all is said and done about circumstances that contribute to tragegy would be not learning anything.
Again-Jessie appears to be a fine person, and a fine mother. Her life choices appear to be poor, extremely so. She deserves none of this.
Perhaps if YOU stop commenting about how normal and routine of a situation she was in we'll not comment about the circumstances surrounding her lifestyle.
I wouldn't wnat Jessie as a frined but I don't wish her ill will. I feel sorry for the little boy. First and foremost because he has probably lost his mother. Could BC have had an arguement that escalated and killed her by accident. Being a cop he'd know he'd be a major suspect. So he has someone he knows come over and clean the mess up in the middle of the night. He instructs them what to do and tells them to make sure no harm comes to Blake. That may be why Blake did not recognize the person that "put mommy in the rug". I'm guessing Blake may have been in bed or another room when the actual murder happened. Sorry if this scenario has already been discussed.
Janine - The thing is that we all do have our own set of values AND our own issues to deal with. Morals and ethics are awesome - and I think we change as we grow - but sometimes some of us have to learn lessons before we get to that point. I know I did. Sometimes, I believe, it is through these lessons that God - or whomever you do or do not believe in -provides the opportunity for redemption. In the meantime, just think of this (and I do not mean to offend anyone - be kind!) would Jesus have not wanted someone for a friend??
I think we all need to consider kindness.
Lizzy, Jessie did tell you mom that BC was supposed to pick up Blake that night. Maybe BC was at the bar blowing her off and she was calling and calling nagging him about when he was going to pick up his son. He leaves the bar drunk and PO'd. Not a good combination. Greta reported on-air about the bar tape showing him at the bar during that time. The timeline would have the event happening sometime after 9:20, likely after ten pm because she set out clothes, cleaned, set alarms, prepped the coffee maker. Anytime after that would work, and BC says he went home to sleep after the sports bar. His timeline about when he talked to her could be wrong (or more likely a lie), because he did not say that he spoke to her after her mother at 9:20, and he should have said so because the mother reported that Jessie was expecting him to pick Blake up. If he'd told her in their last call that he was not going to do so, then she would have told her mother, right? MB
"Poor Choices"?
Who here hasn't made, or is currently making, poor choices? I know a few regular posters have alluded to those stumbles in many a previous blogment. Heck, I've used up all 5 fingers on one hand and am well onto the other hand. And many of them seemed so, well, logical at the time.
Now having a baby with a married man is out of my ken. But many women have decided that their best baby years are their 20s and don't really see great fits out there, so they make a fit. My own daughter has said she really needs to concentrate on guys in their 30s. And Jessie was [yes, was] clearly a Super Mom and well-liked, responsible co-worker & so on. And the baby has nothing to do with how he/she got there, and babies as we know are ALL needs.
That Jessie decided [yes decided] to have another baby would bring me as a relative to a full * SIGH *. That it would be with Cutts again... Well I would have said something to someone but not directly to Jessie. Because the baby Chloe [the name of a great-great-great-grandmother of mine & a litle unusual for the 1780s/90s] had nothing to do with how she got here.
So one bad decision [taking up with Cutts] and two poor decisions [having TWO babies by him]. So let's call that altogether four poor decisions or two bad ones. Like I said, mine go onto to the second hand.
BUT you know what was the WORST decision? The act that deprived Jessie of having the time in which to put her capable talents and full-time energy into making those poor decisions GREAT DECISIONS -- by raising her kids to be the best they could be, great adults. That decision, by a big baby himself, was plainly EVIL.
And Jessie had nothing to do with that. Cutts could have gotten angry and then said you are on your own and walked out the door. But no, being a nearly total narcissist, which is what a big baby is as an adult, he lashed out and deprived Jessie of her chance to turn those poor decisions into great decisions. Just so he could keep having gals on the side.
What a piece of work.
Or if Jessie had life insurance for Blake. Being a minor, I would assume his dad would be in charge of the money. A darned good reason for sparing Blake his mother's fate. Let's see standard employee insurance is what three times your annual salary. Hmmmm.
I really don't see this having to do with life insurance but more about someone (BC) just snapping and killing her. Maybe it wasn't even planned and just happened during an argument. But I'm still convinced that Blake was told what to say. No matter how I look at that 2 year olds just don't blurt out those things after that many hours without being coached. I hid took one of my 2 1/2 year olds toys tonight when I got home and together we put it on the shelf and I said toy on shelf to him several times. Then we left it there and I waited till just a few minutes ago and asked him where his favorite truck was (the toy) and he just looked at me puzzled and said truck? and began searching around the house. I've had 5 two year olds and in my experience this is the more common reaction after just a few hours they tend to move on to different things and even if he heard the fighting and saw someone take the blanket (rug) out and was told that mommy was in the rug the more traumatizing thing would have been the fact that he was alone in the house for 24-36 hours searching for mommy. Then when grandma shows up he would have just been asking where is mommy unless he was told over and over and over what to say. Does anyone know when his birthday is? Like is he closer to 3 years old or 2??? Just my two cents here....
Tonya |
06.21.07 - 7:57 pm | #
And I'm saying the more traumatizing thing because at 2 he would not understand death at all and know that mommy is not coming back. Just to make that clear in case that was confusing.
My read on the below is that the family has information they've been asked not to release about Cutts. This is an excerpt quoted from Ms. Porter's appearance on CNN's Larry King:
"Bobby Cutts is my grandson's father. ... This is the most painful part of this whole thing for me, is that I pray everyday that it's not Bobby Cutts. That's my prayer, that it's not him. I want it to be someone who doesn't even know us."
Given the nature of her relationship with BC I would hope she did not name his as beneficiary - I would think it more likely that she named Blake or her mother. Her mother being the smarter of the two given Blake's age. Depending how long she worked there (more than 2 years) people usually don't change things like that after having children. It's more of thing you change after getting married.
Hey, Riko-
Yeah, I'm serious about my belief that a two year old would be a great witness. Perfect might have been overblown! LOL!
In my experience, they don't lie. They can be coached, yeah, like in the instances where children have lied about being abused. But to think that Jessie's mom coached Blake to say "Mommy was crying" "Mommy broke the table" "Mommy is in the rug" is a stretch to me. The kid is batting 100 imo wrt his recall of events. Who doubts Jessie was crying during the abduction/murder? Who doubts Blake saw the overturned table and related that to "mommy broke the table" and finally, the comforter is missing. Blakes gramma has said Jessie's comforter looked very similar to a rug she has, so, imo, Blake is bang on with the "mommy is in the rug".
I think, in this case, the 2 year old knows exactly what he is saying.
I would like to say something about her "situation". Have any of you ever dated passed the teen years?
Men lie. Men lie. Men lie.
Many men also see themselves as single, when separated and not living with the wife.
Nobody knows what this guy told her, initally..and women "fall in love" meaning, they fall for any "line of bull".
The things that I have read is that he was on again, off again, with the wife. And who knows if he told here which times he was on..and which times he was off.
Is it so difficult for some here to understand, this girl "loved" this man, for whatever reasons..and he was using that to his full advantage.
And, nobody could have talked to her. Of course, people on the outside looking in could see this, but SHE couldnt. If he wanted her, she would be right there.
People should never say never. Never "spit in the wind". Dont ever say..that wouldnt be me, because, truth be told, you dont really know. You dont really know if one day, some jerk might fill your mind and heart with lies, which you believe and end up in love. You could find yourself in a similar situation. You wouldnt have planned it. It just happens.
This girl is a victim, in more ways than one!!
Barbara - I didn't say that the grandma coached him that would be stupid. I was saying whoever did this told him things that night over and over again that he remembered. He did not associate things on his own he's too young to do that. Ask any pediatrician or child psychologist and they'll tell you the same thing. Yes he might be right about those things happening but he may have heard or seen things but after 24-36 hours alone there is no way he could just blurt that out without being told that at some point over and over again. At least that's my opinion.
I have 3 kids. I have a dozen grandkids. They were all two years old once.
This little boy was NOT coached. He told his grandma the answer to what she asked, which was..where is mommy?
I have a two year old that calls me, on his own, almost daily. My number is set in his phone and he calls on his own.
We converse.
If I ask, where is mommy? He tells me. Upstairs or right here. If I ask to talk to mommy, he tells her, grandma wants you.
And out of all of these two year olds, this particular child is not one of the more advanced. A couple of others were more advanced at two than he is.
I am sure that Blake was not coached. He knew exactly what to answer and expressed himself with his limited vocabulary.
This has nothing to do with remembering where you mother put your toy truck. A toy truck is easily forgotten since most kids have a few dozen of them. But mommy? They dont forget mommy. And this child was telling his grandma exactly what he saw.
Like this -
BLAKE: What's wrong with mommy?
PERSON/BC: Mommy's crying
I can't figure out the mommy's in the rug comment but you know what I mean like if it was actually BC in the house and Blake was around BC had to answer questions - 2 year olds are full of them! So he is moving the table out of the house and Blake asks why? Mommy broke the table and then he just keeps telling him that so that he remembers it was mommy that broke the table NOT daddy. If that makes sense. So that Blake doesn't tell anyone Daddy did it or that Daddy was there. Believe me, I've done this already with my children - we were at such and such a place today.....when in fact we were shopping. I didn't just come out and say don't tell daddy we were shopping. I just convinced him we were somewhere else. When daddy asked he repeated the revised version of the story. At 2 he certainly doesn't know the difference because he can't associate things. That's what I mean by coached. Okay I'll shut up Barbara
Barbara - The dogs didn't hit on the spot, did they? One of the searchers found it, and the dogs were brought in. I haven't seen any reports of the dogs actually doing anything other than being brought to the spot to investigate it further.
Steve - It appears that the article you linked to yesterday, about Cutts being named a suspect, was an erroneous report. No, the judge would never put a 2 year old on the stand, however, the LE and family should believe what is being said, and take the lead to follow up on anything they can.
RE: Ahmad, I can see where you get your opinions, but you are not a woman, and you do not understand how men can lie through their teeth and convince anyone they are telling the truth. I am assuming that your culture is quite different from Jessie's, and we should not be judging the victim here for any decisions she may have made. I am tired of all the judgements here by some, and would appreciate it if it would STOP! Do not judge someone until you walk in their shoes... Period. This is tiresome....
Well fine then I have 5 kids, 6 foster kids over the years and they were all 2 once as wee so I guess my experience in this means nothing and my opinion was that he was coached. Sky down, Tonya, the issue is trying to make a rule out of personal experience and applying it to a specific case. In this case, no one outside the family and investigation knows enough to say what happened or even what the kid said. And my experience with my two year olds, or yours, or anyone else's isn't really too illuminating in this situation. IMHO
No need to shut up, Tonya! I think we just disagree on this. The table was found overturned, thus Blake says "Mommy broke the table". The comforter was taken presumably with Jessie's body in it, Blake says "Mommy is in the rug". I don't find Blake's comments remarkable in any way. I think he simply told his gramma what happened, which has been substantiated by the evidence at the scene.
Riko, I wasn't trying to imply Blake would be a great witness in a court of law. I meant that I think he was a great witness because 2 year olds are just so honest and I don't think they know how to lie, really.
You act like someone can brainwash a 2 year old. They arent parrots.
I seriously doubt that the murderer, being the father or anyone else, would be trying to brainwash a child.
He was busy. He was killing and cleaning, and his brain was going 100 miles an hour, trying to figure out how to get rid of this body. I doubt he even knew the kid was around.
This child SAW these things. Nobody told him. The child remembered. Not that much time passed and this concerned someone very important to him. His mommy. They remember what is important to them.
And he is still asking for mommy, because she is very important to him.
Tonya, you may be right, but my impression is that the trauma may have been so marked that he would have remembered. The trauma I'm referring to is not necessarily that he understood that his mom (and primary caretaker) was harmed, but rather that his mom was crying, was taken away (if he witnessed this), and didn't come back for him.
I don't think putting a favorite toy on a top shelf compares in terms of trauma.
I do agree however, that his testimony alone wouldn't hold up in a court of law, which is why police are taking their time putting their ducks in a row.
I also find it highly unlikely that the perp, especially if it's BC, would coach the child and risk being identified, which is entirely possible with the right kind of questioning.
In this article the bar owner says he doesn't know if Cutts left alone or not.
It also says he worked the night following whatever was done to Jessie. I don't know what calls he answered, but whatever they were, there will be a few people that will likely know that the officer that answered their call committed double homicide the night before.
Sandra - I guess I don't want to really say much anymore but one thing being a cop dont' you think he knew they would not question a 2 year old?
I'm sorry I brought up the toy, I'm sorry I even gave my opinion which for this place is unusual. I've had a lot of kids. I would doubt the scenario of calling that JJ gave my nearly 4 year old could do - call and have a conversation with his grandmother. He would get distracted after a few minutes and that would be that. Yes he could press the button but having a conversation would require a lot of effort. Either way I really regret even saying anything at this point.
I myself know as a childhood filled with trauma that the thing that happens most is blocking it out and forgetting the details. I still to this day do no remember most of my childhood. So I suppose that is why I feel he was coached - that way he would not mention daddy.
And JJ I do not act like they can be brainwashed and I don't appreciate you treating me like I don't know anything about kids. I have enough kids to know what they do and don't do. I realize they are not parrots and there wasn't any need for you to say that.
I think that being a cop, BC knows that his best chance to eliminate evidence on the body is water. He had perhaps eight hours to claim sleep and dispose of the body, so he may have driven some distance to a body of water. If he was smart, he left the phones next to his bed, so they cannot locate his path of travel. Anybody want to ask his mother what time she heard him come in on Thursday morning?
I think that BC had this planned. I think that is why he told Jessie that he would be over at around 10 p.m. Wednesday night. Her own mother was upset that he was coming over so late. That tells me that he normally did not pick up the baby late at night.
If he did have this planned, it probably was planned very well. Unfortunately, I don't think that they will find her body or enough to pin it on him.
I certainly hope that I am wrong.
So does anyone think that the trip to the bar, complete with video cameras, was intentional?
I seem to remember reading that some of her night-time rituals were completed, but some weren't. For instance, do we know for certain that her alarm was turned on? I've read it reported both ways - that it had gone off and that it hadn't. I've seen two reports on the coffee maker, too - that it had brewed and that it hadn't.
If she was interrupted during her nightly activities, that would most likely point to whatever happened happening prior to the midnight departure from the bar. Then add in travel time from the bar to her house.
But if he left the bar with someone, then why haven't we heard this before? If he's got one (or three) people who know where he was, or who were with him, then where are they and why haven't they come forward before? Or did they go to the police and not the media, so we just haven't heard about them yet?
Could he have been building his alibi, knowing that something was happening to her while he was there? Could whatever happened to her have happened closer to 1am than 10pm? Or was he just going out for a beer with a friend, having no idea that anything was wrong?
The more "answers" we get, the more questions I have.
I saw something on fox that said he left the bar at about 12:30. I dont think they mentioned if he was alone or not.
If she had her alarm set for 5:30 then if he did it, it was between 12:30 and 5:30.
I have never seen the police or the family being so closed mouthed.
I watched the press conference and learned nothing, nada, zip. No new info. So why did they bother?
I believe they aready have the phone records. I will bet you, they already have some results from whatever needed testing.
I really think the family is being shut out, also. The mom is still "hoping" it isnt him. If she had any information that it was, she wouldnt be saying that.
And one more thing. I hope they dug under that pot planting ground. Who knows if the planters found a soft mound of dirt recently and decided that was a good place to do their garden. Nice, soft dirt..already there.
Terry,
Thats what I thought might have started an argument.
She had to work the next day. Her day started at 5:30. I would think that by 11, she would want to be in bed.
Maybe she called him and found him at the bar. They argued. He remained there. And showed up when he felt like it, causing more arguing and she ended up dead.
If something like this could have happened, the police know it by now. I am sure they have those phone records.
Yes, Norine. What often fascinates me as these things break is that you can often read next developments from the way people phase things and from intuitions as you look at details. On this one, starting with knowing the rest of what Blake said, it is hard to infer much more than the basics, but there is an awful lot that we can spitball as it happens. I've been trying to keep a timeline and known details, but if the person reporting it didn't have it first hand, the report has been wrong as often as not. For example, the Fox guy who broke the murder and kidnapping as probable cause, got wrong the details of the cousin's gun bust - the cousin tookj a private weapon of Cutts, but the reporter referred to it as his service weapon. That detail was wrong, and significant. There have been a lot like that. Keep putting in what you hear, as you hear it, please.
I think the nuance of the mother's comments, taken with the daughters tone when asked about BC indicates that she has information that leads her to believe it is BC, but she has been asked to help ensure that justice is done by holding it close. The mother therefore 'hopes' it is not 'the father of my grandson'. Look at the language and it really sounds like she is hoping against hope. The daughter has already turned the corner to vengeful-not that I blame her. That's why I admire the mother...she is doing her duty publicly, focusing on Jessie, and not letting on about BC. That is a tough assignment for a mom, believe me. Maybe too tough for the sister...
He was definitely covering up his own dna with the bleach.
The thing that throws me is, first they said it was a puddle. Then the sister said it was sprinkled or splashed.
Someone they interviewed said that would be to cover up his dna, like sperm. I dont see how that could cover that up if it wasnt poured directly on it, and not splashed around, wherever.
I agree with whomever just said that the media is getting things wrong. I have heard more conflicting stories, than ones that all match.
I would just like to say that I grew up w/ Jessie, her sisters Jane, Audrey, Whitney and two brothers, and their parents Patty and Ned. We grew up as best friends in Ormond Beach, FL
I heard the news and am heartbroken. Yes, we have lost contact but we were all very close for a very long time. They were my second family for a big part of my life and I hope I can reach Jessie's family and send my condolences and prayer. They were the first to introduce me to prayer; we went to church together every Sunday for years. Last I heard from Jessie, she was going to be a missionary, helping others. This is regarding the baby girl found...if there is a slight possibility that maybe that baby is Jessie's, has anyone thought to ask where BC may have been during the time the baby showed up on the porch? I realize that it has been said that it is most likely NOT hers, but rather than having to wait for 14 days for DNA results, wouldn't it be easier to find out what BC's alibi would be for that time frame???? Just a thought... I am still curious to know if that baby could be hers??
So LE has to have a two-pronged investigation, even if they think (as the majority of the public does) that BC is the doer. They must also vigorously pursue the alternate theory that it was someone else entirely, if only so that when they finally arrest BC they can show that they exhausted all other leads.
Having said that, the jumping off point for any investigation beyond BC would have to begin by putting the victim and her lifestyle under a microscope. Absent a known offender the victim is the single best place to begin an investigation. If LE is really doing everything in their power to find Jessie they need to be taking her life apart, strand by strand.
I think they were watching him real closely around the time that the baby showed up on the porch.
I dont think that baby has anything to do with this. The woman living in that house is a school nurse. It is more likely that the mother is someone who knew her from school.
Tracy,
I dont think they have to do that, if they have enough evidence on him.
We dont know what else that child said. If at some point he mentions his dad, then they must be frantically looking for evidence to support that.
The only way they would need to look further is if they find no evidience.
I think they already have a lot of what they need. They just arent telling us, yet.
If a stranger did this, for the baby, they would have taken it..and left her body.
Taking the body would be what someone who knew her would do. And if it isnt him..then they should be looking at his wife.
JJ - Good point about a stranger. I wasn't thinking a stranger as much as someone else who knew her, other than BC, hence the need to dissect her life. One thing is that Blake was there and apparently didn't mention that he saw or heard his Daddy. Granted he could have been in another room or BC was diguised or there was someone else involved but those are enough "ifs" to at least warrant a vigorous parallel investigation so that BC's defense attorney can't blow a resonable doubt hole in this some day.
I just found this site acouple of days ago and can't stop coming back to read the theories.
A few questions/comments I have...
If BC left the bar with three others, it could be that they all met at the bar and left at the same time, not necessarily going home together. Not sure whether folks are mking an issue that BC left the bar and walked out with two women and a man.
Has anyone heard of anything about Jessie's father? I have not hear him mentioned at all. Is he in the picture?
Did Jessie willingly give BC a key to her apartment or the missing garage door opener? If so, there would be no forced entry.
I don't think Jessie's sister was out of line at all at the press conference. She appeared grateful for the searchers and Eqiuusearch and seemed annoyed that the press kept pushing for an answer and expect she has to to explain why she won't answer. IMO the press seems to think they HAVE to be told EVERYTHING. I think it is great that LE and the family is keeping a lid on this. They are the ones who NEED to know the details, not the press and not us (although I am very anxious to hear the outcome).
I breaks my heart to see her family look so tired and sad, think of what her son witnessed and imagine what Jessie and Chloe have been through. I pray that there is a miracle and they are found safe.
I don't know what to think. My initial thought is someone wanted her baby. I don't buy the theary that they would not have taken Jessie, if they wanted the baby.
As I think was already mentioned, there was a case near Cleveland or Ravenna several years ago in which an expecting mother was kidnapped by a lady and her baby was taken. They ended up finding the baby's mother and later found the baby alive and well.
I think I read an article or two, that had a one or two liner, by her father. It seems that only the mother and the one daughter are out there.
As far as the daughters interview. It was very obvious to me, that they didnt treat her with the same respect that the did the police.
When she refused to answer, someone, in a whining voice kept insisting "why". She doesnt have to tell them why. No comment should have been enough. I could see why she seemed to get a little huffy.
I saw the sister say, that nobody else had her keys. And as far as garage door openers. I know my daughters works with a code. You punch in 4 numbers and it opens. Maybe hers works like that and he could let himself in.
It doesnt matter to me who he left the bar with, since I dont think he took them along with him.
dd, I remember that case.
But how would a stranger get in there. They claim she locked up real well at night and had a peekhole on the front door.
Would she open the door to someone she didnt know, late at night? There was no forced entry. Thats why they think it is someone she knew.
Another thing I wonder about is if a stranger would have taken her cell phone. How would they even know she owned one?
I really didnt think it was him at first..but the more I read, the more I changed my mind.
Well I guess I'll bring back-up two controversial subjects to add my two pennies. On Blake's recall: I can appreciate what you are saying Tonya about abuse and how you shutdown. That was your brain's way of coping with the trauma. (I'm sure you already know this) It's different here though, (and speaks to Blake's happy, normal, life prior), because it was a profound FIRST experience. Blake had never experienced anything like this. Probably never witnessed violence. So it was extremely memorable. Also, during this very scarey moment, he wanted his Mommy. So he took special note of where Mommy was and why she could not come and comfort him like she always did. He then proceeded to have 36hrs of "different". No Mommy, no diapers, no meals, no TV, no bath, no nap, no nothing. So all he thought about for almost two days was how he wanted Mommy and where she was. All IMO.
About Jessie herself: The only thing "wrong" with Jessie is that she had a low self esteem. Everyone on planet earth has the same issue at some point or another and anyone who says that they do not, or have not, are LYING. She was also young, trusting, and most likely an idealist. She believed Cutts to be like her, as she did with all people. Unfortunately, she has had to learn the absolute worst way that evil exist and can touch anyone's life at anytime. I SO wish for her sake and Chloe's and Blake's sake, that she had learned all of those very un-fun lessons when she had Blake.
I keep thinking about Kelsey Smith in KC a few weeks ago and how a random guy prowled the Target and zeroed in on her. Part of me wonders if that happened last Wed evening when Jessie and Blake went shopping. Did someone on the prowl for a baby spot her and follow her home? I don't know. I know more points to it being someone she knew intimately. So, if it is BC who killed Jessie I think it was a heat of the moment thing and not at all thought out. And I think if Blake knows "Daddy" was there and said so Mrs. Porter would have confronted him in the very begining before the police might have told her not to. Also, they have let Blake talk to "Daddy" on the phone on more than one occasion according to Mrs. Porter. I just can't imagine they would allow that if this child had told them "Daddy" was part of this.
kz..where did you see that the mother said BC could talk to him? Everything I heard said he cant. They dont want the child to talk to anyone.
As far as the child mentioning daddy before the police arrived..I think he didnt.
I think the really scared grandma entered the house and as soon as she saw the baby, asked..where is mommy.
I think he blurted out his three chilling sentences as the grandma was heading for the stairs.
That was probably all she ever said to the child, since she would be seeing the bedroom, already saw the dumped purse, knew the child hadnt been changed and I am betting the very next person she talked to was 911.
Then, they say BC got there (it sounded like, before the police). I would imagine a lot of frantic talk between the two, then the police arriving.
At some point, she must have changed the childs diaper and gave him a drink.
I dont think the daddy part would be mentioned, until he was questioned.
I think if I was questioning him, and he once more repeated those sentences, I would have then asked..and who was here with mommy?
Thats when daddy would have probably been mentioned..if indeed it was daddy.
If you notice, they wont comment on if the two families (BC's and theirs) have contact. If all was well..wouldnt they be talking? They had been for a while in the peterson case. And then it stopped.
Well, in this case, it looks to me like it never even started. Why is that?
Anyway, does anyone have a link to anything where they state he has talked to the child?
Emerson you are so right about Jessie and young women like her.....there is so much pressure on them to "find" the right man....some of them decide that maybe they won't find the perfect man so they may have to be happy with a couple of kids and a man who comes to see her now and then...
why BC I don't know.....
I think young women are generally lonely and lost out there, and they make choices for a quick fix....
its our society...its not the one I like, but its ours...
I find people that would choose this time to criticize this young woman, this young mother, to be unbelievably crass and a bit arrogant as if there are any perfect people on this earth .
But in any crime involving a young woman you can set your clock on when the haters will come out....
I seem to remember reading somewhere that the two families never really had much involvement together even before this all started. Being from the area (growing up in central Ohio) and being a white female who dated a black guy in high school whom my parents were NOT very happy about, I would be willing to bet Jessie'sfather was probably not too fond of BC. (not a fact, only stating this from personal experience). So they probably didn't have family get togethers with each other often, if ever. But all this racial stuff should not even be an issue, white people, black people, mexicans, ASIANS, all races can be evil and they have all committed murder. If BC is the blame, it is because he is a very mean, evil man with no morals, not because he is black.
Hello,
The comments are so depressing. Oh my goodness. I would not want to be in her shoes right now. I hope that everything turns out good. One thing I would like to ask is what did the little child mean when he said "Mommy's in the rug". I believe that the little boy saw his mother being placed in a rug. I remember a couple of years ago a young man was killed by his wife and mother and they placed his body in a rug and dumped his body in the lake. Could this have happened to the mother to be. Forgive me if this sounds crazy. It just came to my mind and I would like to know what you guys think. No hate mail please (I am just learning how to use a computer and I am an old woman of 75)
Liza, from what I read that Mrs. Porter said, she thought that Blake said "rug" because he is only two and the word "comforter" is not a word he would be familiar with. The comforter may have looked like a rug to little Blake.
The grandma thinks that the little boy meant the mom was wrapped in the comforter from her bed, which is the same color as the rug.
The little guy doesnt know the word comforter, so he called it a rug.
The comforter and a sheet were missing, so thats what they think he meant.
JJ - What you said brings up an interesting thought.
I know there is some speculation that Bobby - if he is responsible - used a mask to hide his face and that Blake might not have known it was him if he didn't see his face. Provided that Blake knew Bobby as his daddy (which no one involved seems to be disputing), I personally don't think just a mask would have been enough.
Children know their parents. Infants will turn toward the sound of parents' voices immediately after birth. If Bobby and Jessie were involved in a major altercation, even if Bobby was masked, I can't see Jessie not screaming his name at least once.
With that said...
I've heard the same story you have - that Bobby was the second or third person on the scene Friday morning, that he heard the call on the scanner and went running to Jessie's house.
Assume there are only three people in the house - Bobby, Blake, and Mrs. Porter. Not only do I think there's no way Bobby wouldn't have said something to his grandma about daddy having been there the night before, I also think it inconceivable that he wouldn't be absolutely terrified of him that morning. So terrified that even if he hadn't said anything about him being there, Mrs. Porter would have been left no room for doubt that he had been.
Even if Bobby Cutts does turn out to be behind Jessie's disappearance, I sincerely believe that he wasn't in the house that night at all.
DC - I completely agree with that statement - Blake would have been terrified of him if he did in fact do something to his mother - even if it was just hearing them arguing and furniture breaking - mommy crying and then mommy disappearing. I also think that he would have said that Daddy was there if not when Grandma arrived and he was telling her whatever he told her - but the minute he saw BC it would have then jogged his memory.
I also agree with you that her sister, Whitney, was incredibly rude at the press conference. She has rubbed me the wrong way each time I have seen her talk.
And I *HOPE* she is found alive, and if she isn't alive.. I hope her body is found soon-- for her families sake.
I won't even comment on the "glass houses" portion, how do you know right from wrong --or have any morals, if you DON'T judge to some degree. Better NOT judge a rapist or a murderer, either.. because "those who live in glass houses".
And for the rest of you yahoos who march in here with your racist attitudes think about this. Jessie was with a man, not just a black man, a man. And one that happened to be a snake. There's plenty of them out there and they are of all colors and races. Ahmad is a perfect example. This is not a forum for your racist views, get it? Your welcome Tonya! I think it's hard to convey thoughts sometimes on here and have had many a person misunderstand me, (though not quite as badly as the reading comprehension impaired, racist, vile, hate monger, troll, retard, "cold duck"), so I try to not get overly emotional about things others post. It's a good tip for everyone, barring flame thrower posts of course.
I have to admit to being a bit baffled by Blake NOT naming BC, so I assume he has. I also have to wonder how much he was really around BC when BC came to house, or if Blake was crying at that point for Mommy and the Grandma just glossed over it in the ensuing panic. He may have been crying about BC being there, but unable to verbalize it. And I kind of doubt many people would have been paying attention to what he said while the grandma and BC were explaining to LE what happened. I defintely think by now he has said something about the "who".
Also, BC's normal sleeping hours were during the day and he did not have to go into work until 10PM Thursday. Which means it would have been unusual (at least for anyone on a night shift) to have gone to sleep early on Wed. (say around midnight). He would have needed to keep his schedule that night of being awake to prepare for work Thurs night. So him saying he went home to sleep after the bar doesn't compute at the outset and of course would have meant that he had plenty of energy and darkness to conceal a body from midnight to early Thurs. morn. I still think he stayed relatively close by though. Where does a panicked cop go to conceal a body in the middle of the night is the question? Somewhere he doesn't have to put too much labor into it. He wants to distance himself from it asap.
I totally agree with the comments about Blake's reponses to his dad if he had indeed been there and involved. He would have been terrified and he would have communicated that, if not verbally then physically. I also watched Jessie's mom's initial verbal and non-verbal clues regarding BC for just this reason and she seemed to not indicate animosity and suspicion towards him, which, if her grandson had implicated him in any remote way, regardless of what is being released by LE, she would have been unable to hide.
So, again, I think we have to look at Jessie's life here and see who else she was involved with. There has been no information other than pertaining to BC and his life. That seems short-sighted, at best. He can't be the only person she had anything to do with. Were Bobby and Jessie even currently involved? If no, then couldn't she have been seeing other people? It's not like she was sitting around knitting and just seeing Bobby sometimes. That can't make sense. Who did she know? Were any of them involved in drugs or any other criminal activities? Was she? These are questions that need to be explored.
Let's look at the things to judge her on:
Being a single mom with a good job and not being a single mom with no job on welfare
From all accounts being a good mom who cares deeply about her son Blake and takes responsibility for him instead of a single mom who just dumps him off whenever and wherever she can to go out and hit the bars all the time
Having a stable environment for Blake in a nice house in a quiet safe neighborhood instead of living with her mother as a lot of young single mothers would do
Yes she was pregnant again but again she was stepping up and taking responsibility for it.
I just don't see what there is to judge her on other than the fact that at 26 she seems to have have a good head on her shoulders and her only bad choice seems to have been the father of her children.
Tonya, I am not going to sit here and argue with you over her making very bad choices. If you don't see that having two kids with a married man-- who has a history of bad behavior--was a bad decision... then I wonder about you. That is great that she had a job and was a good mom but that really doesn't have anything to do with what I am talking about.
It isn't even an opinion that she made bad choices, it is a FACT.
But, once again--that is not excuse for her to be harmed or murdered. And I hope whoever is responsible--gets caught...and I hope her family gets closure --by them finding her (alive or not).
Also for the questions about Jessie's dad-he is there-he was out on the search today. He just hasn't done any interviews. I can understand where the sister is coming from in the press conference today-lack of sleep, stress, and these overwhelming people screaming questions in my direction would most definately put me to a point of being thoroughly annoyed and short tempered also.
I heard a tv commentator speaking about another case recently, and she said something that stuck with me. She said when a murder is committed, there is 100% blame to go around, and every percent of that 100% blame for the murder rests solely with the individual who committed the murder.
When we discuss things the victim may have done that made her an easier target, more likely to be a victim of such a crime, etc., the effect is a whittling away of that 100%, and a re-assigning a portion of the blame to the victim, and taking away the full force of the 100% that should truly be attributable to the murderer.
I believe it's pretty evident that the victim in this case made some very, very bad choices. She was apparently very attracted to a man who had a wife, who wasn't remaining faithful to his wife, who had cheated on her with yet another woman, who had children with at least one of those women, and who had had a bit of trouble with the law. His house had apparently been foreclosed upon in the past year. He lives with his mother at an age most men are supporting families.
Those aren't things a woman with her head in the right place would find attractive.
But regardless of that, there is an individual who his 100% responsible for his or her own actions, and those actions were to commit what appears to be a violent crime against a woman whose head wasn't completely in the right place.
Her behaviors in no way take away from their 100% ownership of the available blame for this crime.
No one has any right to pass judgment on this woman's life.
However, how this woman lived her life and who she associated with may have everything to do with what happened to her and may help find her, so to ignore it would not do Jessie any good. It is what it is.
Someone's opinion about it has about as much relevance as their opinion about the crime itself. Or mine.
Brenda, VERY well said. Thank you for the post. I was starting to think everyone in the world had lost their mind..
The crime (her bad choices) did not fit the punishment (whatever happened to her).. I definitely do NOT blame her, but there is this very uncomfortable undertone when it is talked about on TV, and when the mom is interviewed about Jessie and Bobbys relationship (especially on Nancy Grace).
I honestly am not seeing what some others are here-I don't see where she has gone so wrong. We don't know what happened between Jessie and Bobby, but obviously they have known eachother for a couple of years and it has led them to making two babies. It seems to me that this young woman fell in love with someone who was married, it happens all the time. I believe she was a good person, with the best intentions for her children. Bobby isn't even with his wife-what is so damaging that Jessie has done? Nothing in my eyes.
Brandi, I may have misunderstood, but I thought that it had been said that there is yet another woman with whom BC has been involved in the semi-recent past. These other children he has fathered are also pretty young... is this correct? Has he simultaneously been involved with his wife and two mistresses? And fathering babies with at least two of the women?
Perhaps I'm painfully old-fashioned, but I do think the best scenario for a child is to have two married parents, living under the same roof, who love one another and are faithful to one another. Certainly, there are many who have grown up in other circumstances who have turned out just fine. I just believe that kids need the security and stability provided by parents who love them, commit to them, and live their lives with them.
By all accounts, Jessie was doing her part to make this equation a reality for their son and the baby she was carrying. It sounds like she provided him with consistency and a tremendous amount of structure. It sounds like her own life was very predictable and structured, and children tend to thrive in such an environment.
At the same time, it can be presumed that BC was subdividing his life between women and children in various venues. His children were experiencing anything but "normalcy" by having him as their father. While his influence can't have negated the positive impact of the structure she gave, as he grew, the mixed messages about his father's loyalty would've surely come to compromise his security and eventually his developing emotional/relational strengths.
Fathers should be relevant to their children... but injecting the type of relevence it sounds like BC has to offer leaves his children with a diminished paternal impact. His lack of commitment to their sense of security is rather evident.
And yet, the victim chose to have him father her child not once, but twice.
This does not, IMHO, make her "evil" by any stretch of the word. It does, however, leave her sense of judgement open to questioining.
Unfortunately, lack of sensible judgement is rather unremarkable these days. While her life track wasn't wise, it wasn't all that unusual. I don't think she'd have been any more likely to forsee BC coming to harm her - if in fact he did - than the wife of that minister in Colorado would've forseen that her husband would be carrying on a homosexual affair with a man in Denver.
BC had more red flags than other men might've, but there are many men with even brighter, more numerous red flags than BC who never do real physical harm to their paramours. And there are men with no flags at all who have done dastardly deeds.
Her lack of discernment appears to have been responsible for the presence of BC in her life. For his presence, she bears the load.
But for his actions, whatever they are, he is solely responsible.
Period.
Brenda, in regards to your statement about her not having a good head on her shoulders because she was attracted to a man who ...blah blah blah...My question to you is "Are you perfect?" She must have fallen in love with him BEFORE all of this, and if YOU have ever been in love yourself then you would know that one can't fall out of love just like that. Your heart is still there...and obviously she did have feelings for him before he "forclosed on his house last year". Her son is two right?? Get real!
JJ- in ref to your earlier post where you asked me where I heard that BC has had phone calls with Blake since the grandmother found the boy, etc... It was on Larry King on Wed night and it was said by Jessie's mother, Mrs. Porter, herself. She was reluctantly and carefully answering Larry's questions and she did say that Blake has talked to BC on the phone on more than one occasion since this happened.
Kudos to Robert M, Emerson, and Saavy for holding up the civility front here on this blogment page. Geez, these things get ugly sometimes, don't they? I think it is extremely petty to harp upon the actions of a stressed and bereaved family member. A few captured moments of the sister may not be the entire context of how she is feeling. Think about being in her shoes.
I also believe that flinging the victim's lifestyle circumstances into the fray is as irrelevant as it is divisive to what we try to do on this site. Please for the sake of continuing this discussion, let's focus on the real bad person here...the person who harmed a hardworking, young, expectant mother. Opinions on your own set of moral standards are not going to help this case AT ALL.
Don't ever think that "these things" only happen to "bad" people. Good lord. Would it make some of you feel better if Jesse and her unborn daughter, Chloe, were missing and the suspect was "her Lawful" husband? Doesn't really matter does it? except in the heads of some.
Oh, and for the record, I don't think it means much either...I was more amazed that with a supposed g/f due in two weeks - not to mention a wife he's still talking to - he was still out trolling in the bar. Now he may only have been "talking" to those women, but I don't doubt for one second that he was always "looking." So reminds me of Scott Peterson...
What's up with this Nikki's brother seemingly acting as a character witness for Bobby C.-seems strange, he hardly even cooborates his sister's abuse even though the guy was arrested tresspassing. This is gonna get bizarre, as Bobby C. already is part of a racial-bias suit against the Canton police.
It was also disturbing to hear about Bobby C. apparently carousing with other women at a bar on that Wednesday night. Girls, ya gotta red flag dudes like that.
Did I misunderstand or did the owner of Champs say that their video equipment was down Wednesday night because they kept having to shut off the power strip because they were having computer problems? The video equipment was on that same power strip. He said he didn't know if the person rebooting the computer equipment would think to press the "on" or "record" button on the video stuff everytime he/she rebooted the computer stuff. I don't think it has been shown via surveillance that Bobby actually did leave at midnight or 12:30.
As far as the talk about Jessie's lifestyle and her choices. . . I think we all tend to look at things that happen to others and come up with reasons why it wouldn't happen to us. Like, ways to make us feel better and, well not necessarily superior, but SAFER, because we don't live a lifestyle similar to the vic.
The alibi that BC was hanging out in a bar and getting his game on with women shouldn't surprise anyone. The guy's a narcissist. Most killers are. I am sure his ego loved all the attention. However, I bet it doesnt love the attention he's getting now. I am sure BC thought that since he was a cop that he knew better than anyone on how to commit the perfect crime. Unfortunately it is looking as though their are cracks forming in his story. I would bet that after hanging out in the bar with the ladies on him he began to get a little frustrated over the thought of yet another baby on the way. A little (or alot) of alcohol probably fueled his anger and I suspect a long before pre-meditated plan to do the deed was probably already in the works prior to last Weds. night. I expect police to be closing in on an arrest soon. I just hope Jessie and Chloe can be brought home soon.
Norine it doesn't surprise me at all if he was out looking for someone new.. I have a nephew who is very much like BC.. He is married has 2 children and his wife was 8 months pregnant when they split up.. He has had many affairs and the wife knew it.. Two months ago during a heated argument he hit her and was arrested for domestic assault.. The court ordered him out of the house.. He immediately moved in with the gf.. His wife had the baby but the restraining order is still in effect.. He sees the kids 4 times a week and talks to them everyday... He sends letters to the wife telling her how much he loves her and how sorry he is for everything.. This is not the first time this has happened and I won't be surprised if she takes him back again.. Both families are hoping this doesn't happen...
The gf that he's living with thinks he's the greatest thing and misunderstood and of course she is the one who will straighten him out.. She is an educated woman with a very good job and owns her home.. Obviously she has no common sense.. She's helping him financially with his legal problems and letting him live with her.. She believes he will be with her in the end.. What a fool.. Even today with all his problems he is still out charming every woman he meets.. He is a very good looking guy who knows just what to say to get woman to believe they are the one as he uses and abuses them... Unfortunately there are too many women who believe men like him..
I did see the interview with Jessie's Mom where she said that BC has talked to Blake several times.. I'm sure the police are monitoring those calls.. It doesn't look good for Jessie and I'm hoping they find her soon dead or alive.. They need to find the evidence so they can get this animal off the street. For those who have made remarks about Jessie's sister please remember that the family is under stress that none of us can imagine..
This community is amazing! So heartwarming to see a community pull together and help for one common purpose. And it just goes to show that noone gives a crap about any bad decisions Jessie may have made, she's a victim and needs to be found.
Yes, Jessie's mom did say on The Today Show that BC IS a suspect. At least, that is HER belief, it didn't come neccessarily from LE. But, c'mon, it ain't that hard to see that he is one, even BC himself says he is one!
Question: Did anyone see the interview with Ted Williams from Greta? I missed part of it and he was talking about BC being prone on the ground, seemingly very upset and his family calling in their Pastor to pray with the family. Just wondering the context of that. It seemed very dramatic. You know I don't doubt that he feels somewhat bad about what happened. I think he is probably partly in shock that he snapped that badly, but then again for anyone to even get to the point where you not only harm, but you kill the woman who is carrying your child, whom you claim to love, the mother of your son, is exceptionally depraved and narcissistic.
I hate to see all the stereotypes... There are men who are snakes, but there are also women who are snakes. All races commit crimes. It has nothing to do with race or one's sex.
I have heard conflicting stories as to whether BC worked Thursday night. I heard on Nancy Grace that he was off Weds. & worked Thurs. night. But on one of the FoxNews shows, they said he was off Thursday. Not sure which is correct?
As far as the sister goes, I don't think for one second she was rude or snotty. Upset, yes, and rightfully so. I was watching the press conference and thought she handled it much better than I would have. I would have come unglued when being pushed that hard. She owes the press no explanations.
"...he hardly even cooborates his sister's abuse..."
Randy - do we have any source for the abuse claims other than Nikki herself? Is it possible that he's not corroborating because there's nothing to corroborate? We know she's lied about her age (not a big deal in her profession, but still), I have yet to see any proof of the multiple restraining orders she says she's gotten, and "several" perjury convictions she says he's had, and now she's using Jessie as tool in her fight for custody of their daughter - http://tinyurl.com/3759uk.
And on top of all that - and I say this having been a Theatre major in college - she is a professional liar. I just honestly think that Ms. Giavasis is injecting herself in this case more for the publicity it can bring her than her actually being able to help Jessie.
Lori - You know, I'm not surprised at BC at all. I'm just amazed that there are so many, many of these men out there. Your niece obviously got ahold of one! I hope she stays strong!
I'm also amazed that we haven't raised our girls better. I'm not a women's libber at all, but I do believe in empowering all people - especially young girls who grow into women! And, I'm amazed that we haven't raised our boys to be all they can be and that does not mean "good in bed" and a "playa."
I know there are many reasons for all these things, but as a counselor I have seen so much with young children. Bottom line, it should be mandatory that every school teach character education - and a lot of it. However, the parents often need to be taught, too.
Sorry to get on my soapbox, but it's just so important to educate our young in order for them to become the shining stars they can be.
All things considered, I think, "I don't think I should have to explain why I'm not commenting on something," is a mild response. Personally, my answer would have probably been more along the lines of, "Will you shut the $* up?!"
Yes, I agree Norine! The schools should teach so much more than the 3 Rs... especially in today's world where more than 50% of the homes only have one parent, and even when there are 2 parents, most likely they both work, come home tired and do not have the quality time needed to do the best job. My mother has also worked with teens for years and years and I hear the horror stories all the time about what our teens experience in their daily lives, and the lack of guidance and education afforded to them.
Sure sounds like whoever did this (BC) knew what they were doing in terms of covering up evidence. Cell phone apparently taken and turned off (no pings that we know of), forensic "whitewash", body disposal, and I'm sure much more. Sure doesn't sound like a baby snatching episode as those things tend to be sloppy.
Even the best get hung up, usually in the end on their own words. I do think in this case it may turn out to be vitally important to find a body.
I guess there is nothing new, yet, this morning. I looked around before I came here.
As far as him working thursday night, I think he did. One of the first articles that I read said he arrived friday morning "still" in uniform. This leads me to believe that he did work. But, it also said something about him hearing the 911, when some other article said that the mom called him. I tend to believe he heard it on his own. I dont think she would have called him so soon. She was in shock, she had a dirty, hungry and probably scared child to deal with, too.
I also wonder about the reaction the baby had to the dad when he saw him..if it was indeed him who put mommy in this rug.
I now know, by reading other articles that he had a relationship with the father. In that case, he might not be terrified of him, not understanding that he is responsible for the mom being gone.
Ok, so now its being said that he is having phone contact with his dad. Are these calls being taped? Are they hoping this child lets out more information by talking to him, and perhaps asking about his mommy?
Talk about red flags; in BC's own words Jessie was supposed to drop off Blakey Thursday morning (uh huh...). When that doesn't happen he claims to make a phone call. Then goes about his business until Friday, when Blake is found all by himself.
BC-I heard you were in the prone position when Ted Williams walked in yesterday. I'm sure you're praying this huge search team doesn't find the body. I fear you had plenty of time to take it far out of the way given your time off from daddy duties on Thursday.
The presser was on Fox. Tim Miller and Jessie's sister spoke. Nothing new to report.
BC DID work Thurs night regular shift at 10pm. I believe the news is a bit confusing b/c I believe they are referring to him not having worked Thursday DAY. Meaning he didn't stay up all night concealing a crime and disposing a body and come into work looking or acting strange. So when they say he didn't work on Thursday I believe that's what they are referring to, not Thurs night, which he did work. I strongly suspect he was listening to the scanner the entire time after he left Jessie's home. He had a distinct advantage of knowing when things were discovered, better than the avg. criminal. So when he heard the 911 call come in from Grandma he went straight there as that would have been expected, and because it gagve him an opportunity to "look" innocent and concerned, and also he could keep an eye on the initial investigation, even inputing what he thought may have happened.
Anthony- They at least have enough to prove that he was lying, I would say. He tied himself into a timeframe with saying that the last time he "spoke" to Jessie was around 8PM Wednesday. That may be true, in terms of semantics, but I do believe there was some sort of communication like text messages, between the two after 8pm. Already, right there, he is lying. So why lie if you have nothing untoward to hide? And that's why I believe he took the cell, believing that they could not decipher the tex that had been exchanged.
It takes a bit longer to get phone records than one might think and does depend upon the phone company. Hopefully they have that all sorted out now and are possibly going on pings in their searches. We can only hope he is THAT stupid.
I cant help but feel, that they are searching too close to home.
I also think that he would have put her in water. As a cop, he should know, that would rid the body of a lot of evidence. Much more than burying her. It would also be less messy, for him. No dirt on clothing, etc.
Thats just my opinion.
Lacy Peterson was disposed of in water... time will tell.
This has to be so hard on her family. Her mother must be a pillar of strength in that she had 7 children, and from what a family friend said earlier, she must have her faith to lean upon.
The bleach being splatterd in the bedroom, sounds like what Whitney said, that they took the bottle and scattered the bleach out of the bottle onto the carpet. She had not seen the bottle, so I wonder if it is missing. She also said Blake had no bleach on himself, and the cap would have been too hard for him to take off. So he's basically ruled out. What was said earlier about someone possibly following her from the store, I wonder if that is indeed a possibility?
I just watched the video of her home. She has a nice place. It was well kept..and I can see how they could easily tell what was and wasnt missing.
The sister seems to know her habits pretty well, especially because she lived with her for a while.
In my mind, I ruled out someone following her home. Hours had passed since the supermarket trip and we know she was there at 9:20. It gets dark close to 9pm. I think if someone was out there waiting for darkness, they would have made their move as soon as it got dark.
I am not sure when this walkthru took place, but, I think the attorney said they would have the cell records by "tomorrow". They must have them already.
His records would show if he called her or she called him after 8pm. I believe if he had the phone turned on, they could also track his whereabouts thru the cellphone pings (the phone communicating with various towers). If the phone was off, there are no pings. This is why they cant trace the location of her phone that way..its shut off.
My gut feeling is that this was an accident. I dont think he went there to kill her.
When I see cases like this, the wife/girlfriend missing, I like to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, knowing that he is always the first suspect.
I did that also in this case, first thinking..he didnt do it. Between what they are putting out there to the public and the fact that I cant seem to think of another person who would do this (other than his wife), I cant help but think its him.
About the wife. Has anyone seen a picture of her? Is she large, small? Can she have dragged a body out of that house and loaded it into a car?
I cant believe we arent seeing more on her.
Total devil's advocate again:
I am wondering about people getting fair trials in this country. OK, there is actually no real concrete evidence against BC (although much tantalizing circumstantial) and yet the majority of us feel comfortable enough in his guilt to have no qualms about slamming him on these blogs (as well as in the media). If that can happen without any concrete evidence, then when and if they finally acquire enough to actually charge him, I would imagine most people would think (myself probably included) "case closed - he's guilty".
The problem is: according to our constitution he would still be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and a jury of his peers would be required to objectively assess all evidence before handing down a verdict.
Based on what I see here, even in the absence of any real evidence, when anyone tries to float any alternate theory to BC having done this, it is either totally ignored, ridiculed, or shot down. That can't bode well for Mr. Cutt's if he is ever arrested. If people can't be even remotely objective this early how will they be when he is actually charged (and I know, they will use jury selection to find those 12 who can be objective - yeah right).
Now if he is guilty, then all of this is no big deal. But if he didn't do it, God help him.
this site is amazing. i've never felt the need to post anything before. but you all have such great comments--i am just praying LE has as much intuitiveness..
i grew up in canton, and it is surreal, this situation. my prayers go out to this family and can't even imagine what they are emotionally dealing with. i hope something breaks and soon.
i agree with all of you--this BC guy seems really dodgy.
TracyLeigh - Unfortunately, I believe most of us are jaded to this type of crime. We see it so much and it never seems to end. And, statistics prove that murder is the #1 cause of death in pregnant women and approx. 20% are killed by their husband/s.o.
I think most of us do have open minds; we also have really good brains and probably good intuition, as well.
josie - I was just telling my sister yesterday that this is so surreal. I live near Cleveland, but it's close enough! I think when it happens to someone local in a seemingly "good" area we are jolted into realizing how this really could happen to anyone.
I mean, how many times would you expect to look up and see Greta and Ted Williams or Tim from Equusearch standing there!?! Tomorrow night we will see it on America's Most Wanted. It IS surreal - but all TOO real.
hopefully these phone records will show something
I had very actively followed the oj case. Actively meaning, I watched the entire thing on tv and in the evenings, I was active on the forum of the prodigy services (no internet back then). They also would post the days, transcripts, which I would download and read thru. They came in very handy, when arguing points with people, especially since, I was amongst the minority. I didnt think he did it.
What I found was, the media being very slanted.
As I said, I watched, all day. Then when my news came on at night, and they made their comments, I wondered if they watched the same trial as I did.
Oj could very well have "done it". But, what they presented in the trial, wasnt enough to prove it. (In my eyes).
I also noticed, back then, as it is now..they focus on the male partner, and dont look beyond that. They seem to have a theory and will then set out to get evidence to prove it right and ignore evidence that might prove them wrong.
This is why I stated in another post, that I try to give the man the benefit of the doubt. I saw how the police operated in the oj case. They decided from the gitgo that it was him..and that was that. No other leads, leading them elsewhere were followed.
In the oj case, what they didnt prove (to me) was the timeline. I couldnt see how he could kill two people, bloodbath style and get home without leaving blood anywhere in his house, on the way to cleaning himself up.
But, the world saw it differently. I dont know many people that think he didnt do it. I am not even sure that I think he didnt do it. What I am sure of is..they didnt prove it to me.
In the oj case, even I thought he had a motive.
In this case, I dont think BC had any. He wouldnt kill her because of any child support. In my opinion, he just wouldnt pay it. And it looks to me, that in his opinion, he wasnt even sure the unborn child was his.
The only reason that I think he is involved is because, unlike the oj case and his wifes lifestyle, I cant come up with someone in this case that would want to kill her. (yet)
Anyway, we have to see what other evidence they find here. I have never seen a case with so many closed mouthed people..and the media just repeating the same things we knew for a week.
We shall see..where this goes. But, right now. I cant see anyone having done this but him (and an outside chance of it being the wife).
Trying to piece together what I heard and read. What is not said if Jessie was still working and was supposed to work on Thursday or was she on leave. BC was supposed to pick up Blake or Jessie was supposed to drop him off whereever BC lived.
JJ - Well, I was someone just like you regarding OJ; and I know we were in the minority. I, too, did not think they "proved" his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt - for the same reasons as you stated. Today I think he probably did it and I think his punishment is having to be a "nobody." I know it isn't enough, but it's the best I can come up with!
She was still working.
According to what her mom said initially, he was supposed to pick the child up that night (wed night). Thats what jessie said in a 9:20pm phone call to her mom.
But, on friday, when they finally discovered she had been missing. HE said, she was to drop the child off in the morning.
The sister said, she had never ever done that before. Others, discussing the case, mention how far she would have to drive, to drop the child off and continue on to work.
So, he is either lying..or the mother was mistaken.
I think the phone records might help on this. One would think if Jessie expected him wednesday night, and he didnt show up, she would have called him, not knowing what to do with the child thurs morning when she had to work.
Judy - I don't know if she'd arranged leave with her supervisor and hadn't told her coworkers (it doesn't seem very likely), but one of her friends at work texted her Thursday morning when she didn't show up.
I am still not sure, all of these years later if OJ did it or not.
I do know, that unlike back then, he certainly portrays himself as an idiot. Some of the things he has done since then, are nothing but idiotic..especially this book of his that he was trying to get out there. I cant even figure out why he would want it out there. He wouldnt get a dime from it. I understand that any monies made, of this type, would go to the families.
What I would like to know is why BC isnt participating in this search and why he isnt out there in the media begging for someone to return her. Ya know, play the innocent act, like that peterson character did. At least he "tried" to play the part of the grieving husband.
JJ ...
He would have HAD to pay child support if he wanted to continue his career as a COP. Yanno why? NOT paying child support is against the LAW. Looks bad for the dept for cops to have their pay seized by the gov't. ... he was already on thin ice with that dept (having been fired once).
Of course, killing your wife & unborn child = also against the LAW. I'm sure he thought he was too smart to get caught. (Or at least convicted -- what with OJ free & all.)
What time was BC supposed to pick up Blake on Wednesday nite. After night clubbing at mignight? If BC could not find Jessie when he tried to call on Thursday morning since she was close to giving birth, would he not try to call her place of work or look for further information. Jessie's mother said that he was supposed to pick up Blake Thursday and he never came.
This guy is obviously guilty. But if they can't produce the evidence, then it will be another travesty of justice, and victory for lawyers just like the OJ case.
About the baby that was found, how come there are no media comments as to the ethnicity of the child? Was it 1/2 black? LOL this could instantly rule out that Cutts is the dad if the kid is 100% black or 100% white. The fact they are doing DNA tests lead me to believe it is 1/2 black and 1/2 white, which, to me indicates a strong possibility it is JEsses baby.
Also, yes, she could have been killed and delivered the baby afterward. I'm pretty sure that if a pregnant person dies or goes into shock, there is something that can happen where the body spontaneously goes into delivery. I've heard of this before.
Cutt's is guilty and I can't wait until he goes to the slammer.
Dumb question. Some time ago, there was a comment that said the FBI has this listed as an abduction/kidnapping. On all the drama shows with a kidnapping, the FBI, LE, and family are all waiting desperately for a ransom call. I don't recall anyone saying something like, "Whoever took Jessie, we'll pay whatever ransom you ask for...we just want her back." Does anyone think the FBI really thinks this is a kidnapping? I know it sounds stupid, but these pieces don't fit for me.
Another thought I had. If the mother last talked to her daughter at 9:20pm on Wednesday, the mom should have known that BC hadn't shown up to pick up Blake. Isn't that a little late to be picking up a 2 year old? Didn't that seem a little odd to grandma? Just mho.
The baby that they found is white.
However, an interacial baby can look white, also.
They are doing dna probably because, for all they know, the baby "can" be all white, because BC might not be the father.
He seems to say "possibly" when asked if she was having his second child. He doesnt say yes. But, a man as uncaring and disinterested as he seems to be, impregnating women as a sport and marrying one, while he had one pregnant, WOULD say something like that, even if she had been a virgin with him as her first.
His track record doesnt impress people, you would think he would at least "play the part" now. It probably would help him more than hurt him.
JJ - You bring up an interesting point about the lack of motive here.
Seems to me that based solely on motive they should be looking more towards BC's estranged wife, which I also think you brought up earlier.
Jessie already having Blake with BC and his being two years old means that she was apparently OK with the situation of him not marrying her when she is carrying his child, which would eliminate any motive of her pressuring him. This situation of theirs seemed routine. So why would he do it? Yes, pregnant woman are killed by there sig. others in many cases, but there is always a motive behind it.
Kimmy, I think they just "called" it an abduction/kidnapping for lack of anything else to call it. She is missing.
They cant very well call it a murder with no body.
When a bi-racial baby is born it can be very difficult to tell the baby apart from say a newborn white baby. That coupled with the fact that this may not be BC's baby are the reasons for the DNA test.
I just think it would be a little too much of a coincidence for it not to be Jessie's baby.
I hear ya JJ... all I'm saying is that if it's 100% white then we know it wasn't Cutt's kid. But I do understand they need to still do the DNA analysis. I was not being very clear.
Also, has anyone noticed the lack of outrage by Cutts? If someone did something to my family like this, sure I would be sad and crying, but I would ALSO be OUTRAGED and angry and it would show. I did not sense any outrage from him. He is ACTING like a guilty person.
I'm a bit confused. I thought that Bobby had a child with Nikki, then a wife that he had children with, and then Jessie. But Fox is saying that Nikki is his estranged wife. What's the truth? Here's the link to the info I found.
I thought at first perhaps Nikki might be a stage name and the same person as Kelly Cutts, but now I think maybe Fox was just wrong as this new press release by Nikki's agents refer to her as a former girlfriend not wife:
