Have you ever explored Feldenkrais concepts? The focus on bodily awareness and true spontaneity in movement and thought seems to be on the same page as SEPAT.

Gravatar Yes, but not in depth. Feldenkrais used martial arts concepts in his work as well; if I recall he was a judoka.

Gravatar Your black hole analogy is some what inaccurate. Black holes are not vorticies of energy, they are the locations of densely collapsed matter, usually stellar, whose gravitational attraction is so great that all matter/energy crossing the event horizon can not escape-not even light, hence the name black hole. It is the most destructive object in the known universe and is only identified by 2 observeable phenomena: gravitational lensing, and certain high frequency radiation generated at the event horizon as matter is ripped into it component subatomic particles. A better Black Hole analogy would be a defensive shill which deconstructs and destroys anything entering it's sphere of influence.

Gravatar A bit picky, Steve. I know about the event horizon of black holes, but I still think the concept of a vortex applies. From answers.com, the definition of "vortex":

1) A spiral motion of fluid within a limited area, especially a whirling mass of water or air that sucks everything near it toward its center.

2) A place or situation regarded as drawing into its center all that surrounds it.
