Wow! What a great experience!
I've observed pockets of various martial art instructors going in the direction of teaching, what was originally a traditional lineage art, as a martial system and addressing fundamental principles with a framework to build upon as well as improvisation. I found myself going in this direction to find and keep training partners that might not have the time nor inclination to go thru a traditional lineage format.
In regards to Serrada I've also recently experienced a student who requested traditional lineage training, who came from another FMA style, and I realized/actualized the kinestiological awareness Serrada imparts on those who practice it!
