Stitches of Violet

Gravatar I think Brenda is right and the cardigan might eliminate the main problem we had. Washington in June??? Pullman/Spokane is about 6 hours away from us and we have family we could stay with and who are always asking us to visit. Any chance of meeting? Keep me posted!

Gravatar I have lived in Spokane for the last 5 years, and have thought it would be fun to get together with you when you visit CDA, but I'm sure you want to spend as much time with your granddaughter (oh, and son and dil) as you can. Anyway, before I moved here I lived in Bellingham and in the San Juan islands for 20 some years. What I would suggest is to fly in either to Bellingham or Seattle, rent a car...if you can, take a ferry trip through the islands (the ferry leaves from Anacortes, and if you don't have time to actually get off on any of the islands, you can just walk on the ferry; it's very beautiful just to travel along through the islands. The prettiest and most spectacular way back over to the east side of WA and Idaho is over the North Cascades Hwy. (Hwy 20). Gorgeous...Let me know if I can help (ferry schedule, maps, whatever). Have a fun and safe trip on the 19th, and if you'd like to visit with me, send me an email.
So sorry your little dog is hurting.

Gravatar I love your FLAK! It is coming out so well! I love the Eris pattern and was thinking of making the cardigan for myself... now I am not so sure since you put yours down. Maybe over the summer when I have a bit more freetime to work on it with progress. Good luck on those last five, for me they are always the toughest!

Gravatar My petsitter has her young, healthy dogs always use a ramp rather than steps -- she maintains that stairs are just too hard for the canine body and avoiding them yields longer pain-free years for dogs.

My dog, Griffin, is extremely stubborn: I can easily imagine that he would refuse to use the ramps.

But, I think he does need some doggy steps for the bed and the couch -- his jumping has always worried me.
