What did you play in band? My daughters are in Jr. High band right now that has a marching component. One is a saxophonist (tenor and alto)and the other is a percussionist.
The story is wonderful; thanks so much for sharing.

I teach in a small Catholic school in Brighton. Our school play is a much cleaned-up version of "Grease". Your picture is so perfect! I am going to show it to the 7th and 8th grade girls who are clueless about what to wear for the dance scene. I really enjoy your blog which I just discovered recently.
