Stitches of Violet

Gravatar Hi marguerite, Your FLAK is really coming along and looking good. I have 4" done of the body but decided to take a break. I like Andean Treasure, it's a cool color.

Gravatar Wow - you've been a busy little bee! You will love knitting Barbara. You've probably already memorized the pattern and once you get beyond the shoulder shaping, it gets pretty mindless too. I think I've given up hope of catching up to you on FLAK since I'm having to frog my sleeve - well only 3 inches, so it's not so bad. And the Andean Treasure swatch is beautiful. Gorgeous color!

Gravatar You are such a talented knitter Marguerite! Your Barbara looks lovely as does your FLAK.

I love love love that color of Andean Treasure!! I wish I could wear alpaca but I'm very allergic altho alpaca in Florida seems a bit silly even if I could knit with it!

I'm letting my subscription/membership to Cast-On lapse. It's such a pity that no one's given them any suggestions on how to present the items or how to show off designs to their best advantage. There are some decent designs but who wants to go on a scavenger hunt to find them? In 3 years of membership I've never been tempted to knit even one item so I'm giving it a miss the next time my subscription rolls around. Shame our "professional" mag is such a let down!

Gravatar Hey Margeurite...any ideas about what I could knit with laceweight that is NOT a shawl? I have 1800 yds. of wonderful apple green wool and 2300 yards of hand-dyed pink/purple, but don't really want to do a shawl with either. Help?
