Love the Chameleon Opal. I recently bought the Fish colorway of the Rain Forest collection. It's gorgeous, too.

Have you had any issues with Elann's Peruvian Highland Wool pilling?
I am just finishing up a pair of socks in Opal Chameleon! I agree, Opal is my favorite, too. (Lorna's Laces is my 2nd favorite sock yarn.) Maybe I'll e-mail you a picture of my finished socks in a day or two.
The Chameleon has a long repeat. I knit mine 2s2c, so I lined it all up into 2 cakes starting at the same point.

Ok, another book to add to my wish list! That Set-In Sleeve Aran is gorgeous!!! I've never used Opal, but your not the first person in blogland to rhapsodize about it. I may just have to check it out. What is your best on-line source for it?
I love Opal too and live hours from any yarn stores, literally. Not sure how far Defiance OH is from you, but The Fifth Stitch there carries it. (Ellen has a website, it is www.thefifthstitch.com) I have ordered from her via email and love her service.
Am adding the book to my list. I need to win the lottery so I can afford them all. lol.

Do you ever shop in Grand Rapids? You can buy Opal yarn at the Knitting Shack at 5261 S. Division. (just a block from 131) NAYY, and she carries all the Opal plus lots of other yarns. I bought Chameleon and Petticoat last week. If you come on a Saturday afternoon, there is a knitting social. Lots of fun!

socks.html --and they're still sitting here exactly like that. I haven't even had an urge to pick them back up again. Disappointing. 
On the other hand, I love, love, LOVE Cherry Tree Hill Supersock.
