Stitches of Violet

Gravatar Gorgeous, simply gorgeous Red Gansey! And, I like the Dublin swatch. But then, I like subdued colors. I am sure whatever you pick out will be beautiful. Autumn colors are always beautiful.

You truly inspire me! I have my Cardigan finished, with a second blocking planned for tomorrow. Live and learn...

Enjoy your trip, as I am sure you will.

Gravatar I really like the firecracker heather. I think it really says autumn. I like Asparagus in Wool of the Andes. It's a green between Kelly green and hunter green. But then again I've seldom seen a green I don't like.

Gravatar Lovely, lovely sleeve. Can't wait to see the finished project. Are you going to make us wait until winter to see a model shot? I love the swish sample, but then I'm not knitting it. Sending you a wave from across the state - so close and yet so far away!

Gravatar The gansey is very lovely and the stitch detail is superb! Enjoy your trip to Washington (one of my favorite states).

Gravatar Oooo I like the Swish swatch (say swish swatch 3 times fast!)
I have 2 skiens of firecracker (I bought a whole bunch of different colors a year ago for hats/mittens)and it is bright and beautiful too - surely won't put you to sleep! But it is sort of red and you are just finishing a (gorgeous) red gansey. I personally need a very different color for the "next" sweater...I can't do 2 in a row that are close in color - BUT that's just me!!!

Gravatar I personally think the bottom green is a lovely color, but I agree with you that Fall is such a nice time to wear reds and oranges. Hope you find your yarn color soon!

Gravatar YAY! Acorn

I agree with Twig, I love the Asparagus Wool of the Andes but I see a nice burnt orange since you already have a red sweater. A white red one anyway

Gravatar I agree, the Firecracker Heather would be a better choice colorwise. Love those greens though.

Gravatar I think I'm going to have to buy some of the Swish in Dublin. If the color is right on my monitor, it's exactly the color I wear to make my eyes look green rather than gray.

Gravatar I'm really impressed by your blog, I think I can spend hours here! A woman here in Norway gave me the link to your blog, and I see why. All those fantastic patterns!
