I agree, the stitches show of the yarn quite well.

We'll have to update each other on acceptable dark yarns - Abby has requested dark socks too - simple ones. I got some DIC Smooshy that seems to be working out nicely. It's a dark grey with just a little bit of heathering on it.

I am very interested to know how you like knitting with Cascade Heritage? I have some in my stash, but have yet to wind a single skein. Thanks.

Perfect pattern for that yarn, the basketweave really allows the yarn to show at its best. I love how the purple peaks through the gray.

Nice socks but I know how you feel with marathon knitting. I am knitting men's hats (boring!).

I love the sock - great choice of colors & stitch pattern. I have used the same stitch pattern for my husband's socks & they look great.

I am making a pair of large men's socks in that very yarn, and the colorway defies description. The recipient chose the color, and I thought I would find it tedious and dark, but every time I change the lighting, new color combinations emerge. The yarn is very, very nice to knit with and is showing good stitch definition--not at all the "ho-hum" experience I anticipated. A quiet little pleasurable surprise.
