They certainly are pretty birds, I do see something like these every once in awhile at a nearby park, but have never gotten a really clear look at them, just a flash of blue. Looks like rain again for you.

right now our jays are upset because i didn't buy the same food i did last time. you better believe they tell me their preferences!

Another pretty bird that we don't get here. The closest we get are Stellar Jays up in the mountains - they're a very dark blue. I'm sorry, but I'm with DH - the thought of you being pecked in the butt my a bird makes me chuckle!

We have bluejays but even more aggressive Mockingbirds too. Your story of being pecked reminds me when the Mockingbirds built a nest in our yard. They chased our dog and he is still afraid of them.(vbg)

Hey, would you say the leaves are pretty much all fallen out on your side of MI?
We are going to South Haven for a little weekend getaway next thursday & I was really hoping we would still see some nice colors.

The butt peck is so darn funny. Thanks for sharing. We call them wild teenagers, those Jays. They are loud and steal things and hang out in groups!
