It was a beautiful Mass, and a great opportunity for many in the Kansas City metro area to have a chance to see something that hasn't been seen in years at that Cathedral. I have some more images posted up on my blog for all to enjoy.

I think it is being used in place of a "crocea" by the trainbearer; however, the crocea would also be incorrect, as it is only to be used by Cardinals' trainbearers at Papal functions in Rome. The strictly correct attire for a prelate's trainbearer in other situations is the purple cassock with black ferraiolo. (I was once Cardinal Stickler's trainbearer at a Pontifical Mass. It was good fun for a layman to be asked "When did you become a Monsignor?" by old ladies.)

If you liked the alb and the rochet of Msgr. Finn (lace-haters, don't listen :-) ), I can tell you that they are new and made by the irresistible Benedictines of Mary, see: http://benedictinesofmary.blogsp...tu-
