I have a question! Perhaps your Papal photographs can answer.

At the Easter Vigil, what happens with the book of the Gospels?

I haven't been able to find any reference to the book of the Gospels - just the lectionary.

Do I just presume the Gospel book isn't used (which would be strange because the Gospel is in there)? Or is it quickly placed on the ambo just in time. Or does it somehow find its way onto the altar.....taking into account that the altar receives its linen(s) at the Gloria, shortly before the Alleluia and Gospel.

Can anybody find some information from Papal celebrations in the pictures you have from previous years>

I wish I could take pictures, but I do want to note that I have been privileged to be able to attend the Triduum at the cathedral in St. Louis, where today the Communion prayers of the liturgy (Our Father, etc.) were prayed by Archbishop Burke ad orientem.

Yesterday I noted he washed only the right feet of 12 seminarians ... truly a set of viri selecti!
