Wonderful news. Maryvale does some brilliant work. I think it has over 2,000 students on its books, many of them studying Catholic philosophy and theology to degree level by Distance Learning. Let's hope the TLM becomes a regular feature.

The link with Newman is a very beautiful part of Maryvale in the history of the Church in England. It was there that Newman delivered his famous 'Second Spring' sermon at the first Provincial Synod of Westminster to the newly formed Hierarchy of England and Wales.

The dates for Newman's Masses there are off though. He was only ordained in 1847 in Rome and according to Ward said his first Mass at Maryvale on 1 Jan 1848.
