In the season finale, he ran down Teri Hatcher's boyfriend and put him in a coma. The show's "Libertarian" very deliberately initiates force.

Another TV mention of libertarians was on the short-lived Whoopi Goldberg sitcom, which has Whoopi arguing with her brother because she's a Democrat and he's a Republican.

In one scene, she's smoking outside and talking with her girl friend about her disagreements with her brother over politics. Whoopi's friend says she votes "Libertarian" because she's "against taxes" and "for pot."

Then Whoopi says disparagingly, "Girl, what YOU been smokin'?"

Then, looking really stoned, her friend laughs and says, "Hey, don't ask; don't tell."
