Gravatar I tuned out after a bit, so I don't know whether "CLS" revealed that the movie was financed by the Mexican government. Details at my name's link.

However, I do know that "CLS" is a useful idiot for that government; in fact, the "review" could have been written by an official from that government.

"CLS" might consider its citizenship options.

Gravatar Oh, yes the Mexican government gave me $5 billion to write that. Unfortunately most foreign governments fund films that are produced in their own countries. Only morons would then assume that means anything other than most governments stupidly invest in films and transfer funds from the poor citizens to the wealthier ones.

If this commentator wishes advertising he can purchase it. I won't be providing it to him for free so I have removed his link. I know since he whines about people seeking wealth at the expense of others he understands he shouldn't be seeking readers at my expense.

Gravatar Beaner-baiting Amerikaner national socialist Lonewacko (an appropriate blog name) failed to mention that the Republican and Democrat Police States of America fund propaganda films all the time with American taxpayer dollars.

On a more pleasant note, I look forward to seeing the film, especially with famous Mexican comic actor Eugenio Derbez making his first English-language film debut as a more serious character.

Gravatar Indio: I'm not really sure this qualifies as an English-language film since most of it is Spanish. I don't think Derbez has many lines in English. I did watch some on line interviews with Castillo, Derbez and Alonso and the three of them really seemed to have a dynamic together. It was fun to watch Castillo's favorite scene was also my favorite scene.

I had not heard of the film until the invite on Friday. I invited an old friend out to dinner with his partner -- since I owe them a meal. And when he called to confirm he asked if I'd like to go see this film with them. Since I have seen a film since I saw War of the Worlds in London (that tells you how long it was) I thought that would be a great change of pace. And I was so pleased to see this film.

As for the lonewacko and his delusional conspiracy theories -- what do you expect from the brain dead.

As for my citizenship. I've always seen myself a citizen of the world (not a world government mind you but of the world). I've spent about a third of my life living in various parts of the world (five countries in total) and travelled much of the rest of the time. So I'm no nationalist and need not be. I've met wonderful people everywhere I've been and real pricks everywhere I've been. And if I decide to retire someday I wouldn't mind doing so in some beach town in Mexico. I've seen too much of the world to be a nationalist and know too much about the evils of big government in America to be a blind patriot. My loyalty is to the principles of Jefferson not to any government nor to any location but to the ideals of a free and prosperous world. How awful of me.
