I went to the CADC site, and it didn't disappoint. These guys (more likely, this guy) is particularly sensitive. In other words bigoted, insane, and somewhat frightening.
E.g. it's "Christian bashing" to impolitely ask Christian conservatives to stay out of your private life. From the top 7 most extreme examples of Christian bashing for 2007, a blogger on John Edwards website seems to have written:"What don't you lousy %#*@!+# understand about keeping your noses out of our britches, our beds and our families?"
Or when anti-abortion protestors began a loud obnoxious vigil outside the private home of a contractor who was excavating (elsewhere) what was to be a women's clinic, a frustrated neighbor came out and angrily denounced them to Fox News for disrupting the neighborhood and scaring his three year old daughter. "Christian protestors harassed!" cries CADC.
Unbelievable.
I'd love to see how these religious idiots would respond to protestors outside *their* own homes, or people trying to pass laws against *their* private relationships.
Thanks for the compliment and the information, Charles. This is typical of what they call harassment. If people don't let these fundies impose their will on others that is harassment. They only way not to harass them is to allow them to walk all over the life, liberty and property of other people -- according to their own logic. As much as some of them scream "liberty" what they mean is slavery. In the US fundamentalism is as much a threat as socialism. It is statism in another form.
Go have a look at conservative home today. Julian Brazier is on his high horse about porn again. Amazing since it is exactly this campaign 15 years ago that marked the start of the Tory Decline.
