Thanks for that great piece. One thing that came to mind with the supermarket analogy is how still further interventions would be called for to address the conflicts created in the first place by the political process--and how the 'inherent flaws' of the free market would invariably take the blame for it all.

Thank you - very well thought out. As a baby-boomer, I am hoping that you are much younger than I am and that you have many more your age who feel the same way. That done, I'd say we have hope in America.

Another excellent post. I think you missed your calling. If you are not a famous writer, you damn well ought to be. You have a unique and unbiased perspective on many things in life.
Too bad you can't get some time in the MSM. Maybe the country we live in would be a lot different (mostly for the better) if we had someone with your objectivity writing for the papers and reporting on the morning and evening news.
But then I have been reading this blog for quite some time and I know that you, just like myself have moments of unmitigated bias on a few particular topics that we consider near and dear to us.
Keep on writing bud. I am sure you have a much bigger audience than you know. I'd bet there are at least 50 lurkers to every commenter on this blog.
Good day,
Joe
