So sorry to hear this. I admire people who have certain kinds of standard, religious or otherwise...and don't push them on others.

I knew Marshall as well, and as CLS pointed out, he was a model Roman Catholic Christian in the sense of not believing in imposing his religious beliefs on secular society. He once remarked in my presence that he believed his church's teaching that homosexuality is a sin, but did not believe in legislating that belief. He was based in California, and if he voted early, I'm sure he voted against Prop. 8.
He had a great personality, and his spreading of libertarianism through Advocates for Self-Government shall always be regarded as great contribution to the movement.

I had the honor of knowing Marshall Fritz as well. I will add that he also gave the best damned bear hugs on the planet!
