Have you heard the new AMT disc? I have heard good things about it (comparisons to La Novia) but haven't yet picked it up...
Yessir, downloaded before, and then bought it at the show instead of the tour CD, despite some drunk hipster shouting at me, "awww, man, you can get that one anywhere!" So, I got it, I like it, but it's no better than say 'La Nova' or 'Zap Yr Mind'.
The press release said it's their best production yet, and I don't see why. Parts sound great, but as with every AMT album, when they start rockin hard, bass and guitar drown everything else out. I like drums, ya know? Cotton does sound great though, and I'd say if ya like La Novia, you'll like this.
OK, my first ever loaf of specialty bread is safely snucked up in it's paper-free tin in a cosy environment of about 350F. I just wanted to tell the world.

the more i listen to the new devenda banheart, the more i agree with you. when i first heard it, i thought it was really good. now, a month later, i think it's one of the three or four best things i've heard this year. a masterpiece, indeed.
oh how i wish i could have caught him live... and with joanna newsom (yow!) nonetheless!!
