with each subsequent listen, this album climbs my list. i think it's firmly nestled at the top at this point.
and yes, i think he just could be _the one_. if he's not _the one_ hes' at least one of them.
Did you know that a second album is slated for release by like August or so? Apparently it was a mammoth recording session, like 40-50 songs. Can he do it twice in a year? Holy SHMOLIES...
I missed Trad Gras Och Stener last night in Denton due to sheer exhaustion, and I'm going to have to miss them in Austin tonight for a similar reason. Sad, but it's not like I'm missing Parson Sound (well not exactly).
when i first heard about the second album, i shook my head in utter disbelief. it's like in '64 when dylan released 'the times they are a-changin' AND 'another side of bob dylan.' most artists would be happy releasing two albums of that caliber over a lifetime... but ONE YEAR? hizza!
of course, the second album could always be crap which would destroy the entire comparison.
