Please oh please tell me what you think

Gravatar VOTE DEMOCRATIC. That is the main part of the main thing. Look at the huge mess we are in with the Republicans in charge. Geeesh. And oh yeah, link me.

*****OK, I'll link you since you asked so nicely.

I just don't want pressure on me as to which Dem I prefer...in short, my ovaries shouldn't mean I should vote for someone else with ovaries just to get someone with ovaries as the President of the United States.

Gravatar Forget ovaries! Lets just move this country out of the hellacious mess its currently in!

*****I only wish I could forget my ovaries. Unfortunately, I am reminded of them once a month (give or take a few days)

Gravatar wait a darn minute here. I just caught the saarcasm in your linking remark....I resemble that remark!
I was answering you as you asked if you could link me. Did you forget?

*****Oh, probably, but I remembered soon after and linked to you. You may link to me as well if the mood strikes you. :0)

Thanks for the shout out!

*****You're welcome - that toilet paper squabble you have with Mrs. Fab is too priceless to ignore.

Gravatar I think votes often come down to the lesser of two evils, and if someone's ideology matches your own, then the personality aspect falls outside that, in my opinion.

*****Good point.

Gravatar Oh, and on the issue of gun control: it's already illegal for felons to own guns and to acquire more, and no reputable gun dealer (i.e., someone who does background checks on every single gun purchase) would sell a gun to such a criminal. The problem guns in our society are not the guns people are registering to carry. The fact is the criminal element will ALWAYS have guns-- look at England and their ever-escalating gun crimes-- criminals there have no fear that a homeowner will pull a gun on them, and home invasion there has escalated since handguns were outlawed. You are citing the high number of gun registrations as an alarming statistic, but in my opinion, the high number of registered (and responsible) gun owners in Florida makes Florida safer and goes some measure to level the playing field with a ruthless and murderous criminal element. I respect your choice not to have guns, but thank God for a Consititution that gives us the ability to be able to defend ourselves from the ne'er-do-wells who will always have guns regardless what is "legal."

*****I don't have a problem with people owning guns at all - the article was talking about the loopholes where people with criminals are acquiring guns, and I was trying to address that.

My mom and late father were both gun-owners, and they always used them responsibly. I don't want 'em around because you've got a higher level of liability on your head if anything goes wrong...that's my only issue personally. I do see your point...I'm not advocating making it difficult for people to get guns, and I know all too well that in this country, if you want a gun someone is willing to sell you one no matter what. People who are responsible with firearms shouldn't be penalized because others are not responsible...I agree with that wholeheartedly.

It's an argument that I fear will never be concluded.

I am glad you commented, though...and you made many good points!

It just scares me that the advisory board formed regarding this issue is so unaware! MY GOD!
