I see the Tories don't change their spots then... that is exactly what they did to the railways (sell off the non railway property) which instantly plunged British Rail into the red - the rents were keeping them afloat)
If you take the non canal property away from BW, BW ceases to have any chance of making a profit without massively increases water fees, which in turn drives people off the canal system which reduces.... you get my drift...
Bah. Leave the waterways alone!!!

Absolutely Ron!... I know where my vote is going......... hang on though... the fox hunting ban is close. Land owners have threatened to stop BW from using their land to get to the canals to fix any problems!
Maybe the Raving Loony Party might be an option next time! :P
