You lucky people ,I am very envious.I keep trying to convince my wife that we desperately need a narrowboat, but she isn,t really interested. On thursday we walked the Hatton Flight and had a drink in the Cape of Good Hope after visiting Warwick, then we stayed at Waterways Cottage in Stoke Bruerne for the night, highly reccomended..Saturday we walked from Northchurch to Berkhamsted for another well earnt drink in dazzling sunshine overlooking the lock.We dashed back to see the conclusion of the six nations. Brilliant competition as ever and today ,Sunday we walked from Tring to Maffers, and just did a short bit of the Aylesbury Arm.Once again I am highly envious, good luck to You both,Eric.. P.s the Saltisford Arm looks an Idyllic long term mooring..

You lucky person - we saw the beautiful weather at home in Milton Keynes. Checked the weather forecast for the weekend between Napton and Leamington, which was supposed to be sunny. Hotfooted it up to the boat expecting more of same, only to have thick mist until Saturday mid-afternoon and fleece weather on Sunday.

Eric, you sure are a good walker! Do have a go at the Wendover Arm too. In fact next weekend is the official opening of the short bit they have managed to restore, there will be a lot to see. I really enjoyed that walk, and Wendover itself has some lovely watering holes. Such diversity along the wet and dry beds. I think you definitely need to persuade the wife to go for a narrowboat, you would obviously both enjoy
Gillian.. What a shame!!... Great though that you could get out for a while, you deserve that for sure... Still Gillian, plenty of sunny days to come for you to enjoy
