Highly interesting and entertaining piece about Thrapston etc, but Ihave to tell you, you weere in fact moored in Islip, opposite the Woolpack, near the medieval Nine Arches Bridge. Denford is a boring little place about 3 miles SW, but as a 'born & bred' local, I'm glad you liked the area.

Hi Phil,
Well you picked up on a blog written a while ago, but you are quite right we were at Islip. Thrapston is very close, and is marked in the guide books, hence I mentioned Thrapston rather than Islip.
I didnt find Denford boring, the people there are very friendly, and to find a working garage with a forecourt full of cars for sale in such a tiny place is unusual. The church is nice and so is the pub, and there is a bus stop very close to the river.. I liked it.
