I'm one of the wage slaves who commutes on the tube every day. In fact I commute from North Buckinghamshire . It's all for my retirement. I spend a week or so on a hired narrowboat every year. The ten-year plan involves building a narrowboat. Until then I live a vicarious waterways existence through blogs like yours. Thanks. Keep posting!

Ah that's wonderful Andrew... next time I am on the tube, I shall look around me now, and pick out all those I think will retire to the waterways!!
