The seagulls could only walk about last night with the winds that swept through here lmao. Glad you & Vic are well, email as promised will be with you by sat I hope. Had a look at the map and your going to be a fair old way from me this year for a winter visit. Such a shame I was looking forward to some of your soup once more. But then I may supprise you yet lol If only you could get NP to sea you could come and give us a visit on the island lol. Think of you both every day as the boatyard just off the causeway back to the mainland has a narrow boat in its yard. Not sure if its being done up or what. Btw neither of your boat magazine links worked for me.

Chocolate Box photos indeed.
I am still convinced you must tidy up the countryside as you go along before taking photos.

John,
Yes, you were right!.. But it was nice to share my thoughts, and even better for you to remind me that canals are just as good as the rivers. How right you were too, I had almost forgotten!
Yep, hope to see you soon.. I didn't catch one fish since you caught a couple at Gayton.. what did you do to my rod!!
James,
Is that all you come to see me for my soup??
It could be that it is much cheaper to have a narrowboat 'done up' at a seaport boatyard than a canl one. I am surprised you haven't been over to 'nose'!
I do hope you WILL surprise us.. just keep watching the blog, look at the map and jump in the car.. a couple of hours and ....
Furbs,
Well British Waterways have been very hard 'at it' this year. They have even come out of their offices and donned green wellies themselves in an attempt to remove rubbish from the waterways.. I am still looking for THAT photo for you, honest I am!
Richard,
I am now gonna be flicking through Waterways World to see if their new editor can temp me back.. but knowing how you transformed Waterscape they way you have, you may well be right in your assuption!

Cause its not just the soup Sue, it has to be your radiant beauty . Schhhh... don't tell Vic. Yet another cold but dry day. Best I get on with the job of finishing the last bit of painting I have to do before the South West winds set in and nothing dries out.
