Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Glad to see Vic is wearing all the right protective gear for using a chain saw Sue - Jeans and T shirt......

At least get him some chain mail so when the chain snags and the saw jumps his other arm has half a chance of staying intact.....

I really don't want to read in the bolg about a highly interesting ride in an ambulance....

Good timber though, enough there to last all winter.

Mmmm.... I must agree ref the chainsaw outfit. Still thats solved Vics xmas pressie for me this year lmao. Now then what to get Sue, maybe another litre bottle of Biccardi like last time. Thanks to a very good garden center in Brum I have just the cactus and plants to hand that will withstand the weather and Bunnies lol. Ron, at least you can reassure Sue that the Navy boat was well crewed. For sure to be careful with rats, we have to be well on our guard with rats in the dockyard and what they leave behind.

Gravatar Ron and James,

Vic cannot work with any sort of protection on him.. he won't work with any, he never has worked with a chainsaw for 35 years with any protection other than a shirt ond jeans.

It took all my persuasive powers to make him wear a mask and rubber gloves to paint the watertank this year.. almost leading to an arguement!!

Vic is impossible!!

I know that he is extremely experienced with a chain saw, in fact a much bigger one than that during his life... I always keep a good eye on what he is doing, although he is very careful, I am aware of the dangers, but it might just be more dangerous for me to persuade him to wear what you suggest? He just hates to feel restricted while working in anything he does I'm afraid.

Weils Disease is a nasty bit of work for sure..

I am sorry Ron that you did not enjoy yesterdays blog.. I happened, at this moment in time, to be in the place where this guy lived... it was bound to be in my thoughts. It was in the thoughts of a lot of others too.. apparently there were a good 200 people to 'see him off'

Gravatar hey sue, I did enjoy the blog, where did I say I didn't? I always enjoy your blogs, even on sad topics.

Also I didn't know that Vic is a veteran Chainsaw user - I guess if he has survived this long he isn't going to get unlucky in a hurry

Keep well.

Ron

Gravatar Ah now I see where you get the 'didnt like yesterdays blog' from

the reference to an ambulance was a reference to a blog entry in the future where you have had to call the air ambulance to take vic and assorted limbs to hospital to get stuck back together after a particularly nasty chainsaw accident.

The Blog about the funeral was touching indeed, and a lovely way to send off someone who loved the canals.

Gravatar Gawd, see... your written words were interpreted completely wrongly by me.. apologies for that!
