Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Gravatar Hi Sue,
I am interested in your cratch and cratch cover. Did you already have the cratch, but just no cover or are you having the complete install?
I was thinking about a cratch for my boat, but would be interested in the pros and cons.
Glad to hear the water pump is fixed. I went to Midland Chandlers at Penkridge last weekend, so many goodies to spend the cash on!
Take care,
Matt

Gravatar Hi Sue,
That looks like good news from the BW press release! I was beginning to thing I was not going to be able to afford to keep Sirius if the license fee was going to be hiked up.

Chris

Gravatar Matt,

I am glad I didn't actually go to Midland Chandlers myself, or I may well have had far less in my purse than I have now!!

We already had a cratch cover on NP, just Staffordshire Canopies prices were so reasonable we thought we would have a new one done to match the back.

It is well worth having a cratch cover, its nice to sit out there sometimes shielded from the wind and rain.. Maybe just two reasons not to have one.. 1. Climbing to the front to secure ropes or get to the locker means from the gunnels you have to hang on with one hand and unzip the cover so you can slip your foot in under the cover to clamber round if you see what I mean. 2. It is not uncommon to catch the cover on objects such as landing stages which might rip it..

Go for it, you won't know yourself and you will love it!

Chris,

Great news so far, as you say, but we will have to wait for the 'official' British Waterways announcement. Apparently there will be more time for discussion after that!!
