Poor You, a long walk (carrying a heavy PC?) and then not even having what you need, it is terrible.
My Pc is an Acer and I got it from Comet. I have never been able to find the exact model listed anywhere.
I made a conspiracy theory that Acer make up special Pcs for Comet from bits they have left over from their real models.
Like those supposedly rare Furbys not on the lists where at the end of production they just used blue ears if there were no white ears left.

Comet is well known for their reluctance to help if there is any problem with the product which you have bought. All they are interested in is selling a customer a product along with an expensive extended guarantee. I know this as I worked for them many years ago. I have always found that Argos is the best place to puchase a product as they will replace or refund your money without any hassle, although of course they may not always have the product which you require.

Yes I am beginning to wonder, but my new battery is on the way, and I will pick it up tomorrow. Then I will be happy. Their customer service on the telephone is exceptionally good.. full of reassurance, but a different matter when face to face.. Val in the comment above agrees.. I picked this particular model from the Acer website before I went to Comet.. but it is not the same spec.. will be though with the new battery

Tis a pity that Comet have that attitude.. trouble is their prices are particulary compeditive at the moment.. but I won't buy anything from them again.
