Hi! While looking at the beautiful picture of the winter canal I was wondering about the wintering over process while you are iced in. How do you get diesel fuel to charge your batteries? How do you get water for your showers, cooking, and washing? How do you deal with the pump out process for the toilet if you are frozen into a place long term? This might be an interesting blog for prospective narrowboat residents like my wife and myself.

Hiya Sue, must admit I was thinking along the same lines as the last person. Its almost as if you have to make sure your in the right place to get iced in. But I am sure your well ready for it, just makes me wonder with this really cold snap due as they say as to just how long you could find yourself stuck in one place. Hope your both well.
