congrat to you both on your geocaching adventures. Travel Bugs are definately a high point of this hobby/obsession/preoccupation. Good story told to the muggle. I will continue watching your adventures on both Geocaching, and narrowboating.

You keep talking about cutting logs, how long do you keep them before you use them? We read somewhere that they should be kept for a year! I can't imagine anyone keeping a year's supply on a narrowboat roof!
As new boat owners (your blog helped encourage us to take the plunge, although not to live aboard), we are interested in any info.

Hi Kath,
We cut the logs and burn them, there certainly is no room to be able to keep them for a year. We just make sure the chimney is swept every other week or so to get rid of the sap that burns onto the inside of the roof, its no problem burning 'sappy' wood although we do try to find nice dry stuff.
